  • On page 170 Fr. Dunney writes "The whole Christ is head and body: the head the only begotten Son of God, and His body the Church - all its members on earth, in purgatory and in heaven.  Our Lord receives His full completion in being united with all of us, His members.  Therefore the Church is called the pleroma or complement of Christ, just as the body completes the head, or the crew completes the ship, or the nave the choir of the church."

The part that got my attention was the "full completion" phrase.  This book was written in 1923.  What are your thoughts on this passage, and of the rest of the book if you have read it?  This is mine from my sspx days, and I thought I would give it a read(however I won't make time to read modernist works).
