Look at this list of "holy days and holidays" taken from the TAN Books "2009 Saints Calendar and Daily Planner".
First, it's funny that Martin Luther King day is on there. He wasn't even a man of AVERAGE holiness. There is dirt on him that isn't commonly known. But he's certainly not a "hero" and even more certainly not a saint.
Look at how things are being watered down -- Ascension Thursday is usually celebrated on Sunday (can't drag people into Church during the week, can we?) and now they're ditching the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary?
