After reading the book of prophecy by Yves Dupont, I guess it is predicted that the Church will become more and more of a mess no matter what until the good pope comes along to save the day and restore all the former ways. So, it looks like there's nothing we can do....... :reading: has anyone else read this book? And what do you think?

Firstly, welcome to the site.
I have read Dupont's book many times. Yes, it will only get darker until God turns the tide, sending the much-prophesied Pontiff and King. IMO, this will likely be proximate to 21.21.2012. This is not mentioned by Dupont, but is something I have come up with after reading widely about these matters. That said, I could be totally wrong, and such would not bother me. Humanly speaking, it has been over for a long time. One of St. Pius X's right hand men, Cardinal de Lai I believe, stated as much at the holy pontiff's death bed.
There will be little incidents in our own lives that are positive, or give hope in a time of darkness, but, generally, the evil plans of men will continue to progress - until God sees fit to reduce them to ashes.
God speed - welcome aboard.

I wouldn't be surprised if something happened on 12-21-12. Even the pagans can get some things right, although not exactly the way they may convey them. The Aztecs were right about the end of their world, which came about with the conquest of Cortes.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been thinking for a while now about 2012, but Dupont's descriptions of events don't seem in line time-wise. I mean there seem to be too many things yet to happen. Also, do you think the book of the Apocolypse tells about 2 tribulation periods like the prophecies seem to say?

I don't think the holy Pope and holy king will come in 2012. You are talking about 3 years from now! Where is there cardinal who is close to being holy from among all the cardinals we have today? Which cardinal even is a traditional cardinal - they all hold to some or all of the heresies of post Vatican II.
-
Yes, I have read a few things by Dupont. Some of his predicted dates for events are already proven wrong. We do not know exactly what wil happen or when.

In three years' time, ANYTHING is possible.

So, what do you think will happen in 2012?

Also, according to St. Malachy ( quoted by Dupont) Pope Benedict XVI is the pope who leaves Rome and dies in exile. Am I wrong about this? Then the next pope is the holy one?

That is the optimistic outlook. Make sure when they elect the Pope that it is transparent. No smoke, no Diebold machines.! A Christian Pope, yea that's the ticket.!

Umm, maybe they can dip their finger in purple ink. ( Remember the first "honest" election we helped with?)
A Catholic Pope. Imagine!

Yes that would be correct. The next Pope will cosecrate Russia and fully restore tradition to the Church. 2012 does make a lot of sense.

I haven't found any. I am also curious.

The thing that put me off Yves Dupont's book is the fact that he cites Nostradamus as a genuine prophet.
-
According to Solange Hertz, in fact Michael of Our Lady of Notre Dame was a third order Fransican and always an obedient son to Holy Mother Church.
-
Didn't he obtain his prophecies by gazing into a bowl of water, and isn't that divination? And isn't that forbidden?
Genuine prophets don't look for prophecies, as far as I know.
-
I think Nostradamus was doing so much guessing at how the future might be that he inevitably was bound to get a couple of things right - maybe he just had a very active imagination and if he were living today he would be a movie producer.

I read the book. I thought it was accurate. I recommend it to people all the time. Gladius told me about it and I agree that this is one of the best out there.
