    I like how my original post on the facts of http://www.mostholyfamilymonastery.com/B16.pdf Pope and his heretical actions was deleted. Why delete it after many viewed it and posted positive remarks? Too hard hitting?

    Your original post is still there. This one should be removed just because you're being dumb.  :fryingpan:

    This is exactly what sedevacantists are trying to tell everyone who thinks Benedict XVI is a Catholic or a pope.

  • I agree.  The Dimonds have seven soul damning errors that I am aware of, but sedevancatism is not one of them.  Here they are:

    Their heretical belief that one may knowingly receiving sacraments and commune with heretics and schismatics, contrary to the Council of Basel, Session 20, approved by Pope Eugene IV;

    Their heretical belief that canonizations are infallible, contrary to Vatican Council, Session 4, Chapter 4, paragraph 6, decreed by Pope Pius IX;

    Their schismatic denial that invincible ignorance is the only excuse from the guilt of "Labouring in ignorance of the true religion (Pope Pius IX, Singulari Quadem, Dec 9, 1845) by which denial they attempt to argue that people in the Vatican II religion can still be Catholic, though they correctly hold that someone invincibly ignorant of the the Catholic Faith, as defined by Pope Eugene IV in Session 8  of the Council of Florence (Athanasian Creed), cannot be saved.

    Their schismatic denial that validly baptized children who are born and raised in heresy become schismatic upon reaching the age of reason, since at that point they are immediately bound by the divine law (including the law to profess the true religion and be subject to the Roman Pontiff), which not even the Church can dispense them from (Pope Pius X, Quam Singulari, Aug 8, 1910).

    Their heretical belief that not all things that are to be believed as Divinely revealed are dogmas, and hence their assertion that Ordinary and Universal Magisterium doctrines are not dogmas, contrary to Vatican Council, Session 3, Chapter 3, paragraph 8; and the letter Tuas Libenter, both teachings of Pope Pius IX.

    Their schismatic belief that popes can be public heretics in their fallible capacity, and still be Catholics and popes.  This is their position on Pius XII for example, who taught NFP and BoD, and it is the position they have to adopt with Benedict XV, even if they disagree that he was inculcating the heresy of universal salvation, since he stated about the Blessed Virgin Mary that "she, together with Christ, redeemed the human race", which is a heretical statement.

    Their heretical belief that the limbo of infants is not only not heresy, but a dogma, by twisting Auctorem Fidei #26 into something it doesn't actually say and by making assumptions about the Council of Florence, Session 6 (But the souls of those who depart this life in actual mortal sin, or in original sin alone, go down straightaway to hell to be punished, but with unequal pains- which they translate as "punishments of different kinds"), which are contradicted by the Council of Florence, Session 11 (all those who are outside the catholic church, not only pagans but also Jєωs or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire...- unbaptized children are part of the "all those who are outside the catholic church").

  • I disagree as there is no such thing as 'sedevacantism' or a 'sede vacantist'.

    Please give a few historical references( besides beginning in 1958) where such a party or philosophy has existed.

  • Aside from the normal vacancies between the death and election of a new Pope, the only time in history that we have been w/o a Pope is from the death of Celestine V in 1296 to the electon of Benedict XI in 1303.
