  • The sophistical, self-proclaimed "Thomist" [sic] Craig Toth at Pristina Liturgica and CMRI Watch blog sites has proven himself to be a perilous and subversive creature, inimical to the welfare of the sedevacantist faithful.

He has been planting doubts regarding the validity of the Carmona-Thuc line in these recent postings:

    http://www.pistrinaliturgica.blogspot.com/2011/12/holiday-cards-2.html

    http://www.pistrinaliturgica.blogspot.com/2012/01/holiday-cards-3.html

    http://www.pistrinaliturgica.blogspot.com/2012/01/looking-mortified-upon-monkee.html

It is all an orchestrated plan to attack such clerics as the CMRI Fathers, the independent clerics whose Orders ultimately derive from Bishop Carmona, and basically everyone whom, in the excess of his execrable pride, he esteems as inferior to himself.

What greater weapon can the enemies of the faithful desire than such a bewitching sophist?

His pathetic campaign against the CMRI Fathers has borne fruits rightly becoming such a coluber in via (Gen. cap. xlix., 17), whose proud head the Blessed Virgin shall crush through her devoted servants amongst the clergy (cf. Gen. cap. iii., 15), as Saint Louis Marie had foretold centuries ago (True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, nos. 55-59).

Please pray for Mr. Toth, that he may desist from his venomous endeavors and be wholly converted unto God in the earnest cultivation of the interior life, as rightly becomes a true Thomist.
Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.

The priests know who he is; it's a shame they allow this to continue on and on.

  • Oh, well now at least I know who you're talking about with all this Reader / Diogenes stuff.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

    That guy is off.
In the first link he takes a swipe at the well known sede groups, and the SSPX. The only group he had anything good to say about is the Novus Ordo.

  • I saw today that the Lay Pulpit and Mater Dei Seminary/CMRI Watch sites are still up and running. But the last updates were Oct 21 on one site and Oct 22 on the other.

I wonder why the apparent coincidence. Are both sites run by the same person, who has gone quiet, at least for now, for whatever reasons?

The former has been curiously silent since the Bp. Petko scandal broke at SAG.  This gentleman, I understand, is supporting Bp. Petko in his dispute with Fr. Ramolla, whom he has abandoned.

I was under the impression that the latter site was the effort of Mr. Toth, but his primary site, Pistrina, has been anything BUT silent, as you know.

I wonder what the connection is to that despicable VoV site.

The coincidence is no coincidence at all. It is explained by the incidents that happened at England which Droleskey reported. They occurred in late October.

The lay agitators were dismayed at Father Ramolla's reaction to the whole mess.

They have to regroup and think of other strategies, I guess.

Consecration of Bps. Carmona and Zamora took place at Toulon on the 17th of October according to the "Pontificale Romanum" (Ratisbonae, Romae etc., 1908, S. 520 ff.), exactly the same copy was used for Mgr. Guerard, in the same chapel.

Thanks for the information. BTW, do you know of any written account from eyewitnesses?

            Anonymous Jan 15, 2012 12:16 AM

Dr. Heller in Germany will certainly know more on the subject, even though I could not find a direct testimony from those consecrations. Interesting note:
Abbé Bruno Schaeffer, who was ordained by Archbishop Thuc AFTER the consecrations, is working in the SSPX without any reordination.

There is a very simple & tactile reason why the Thuc consecrations are, at the very least, illicit. Archbishop Thuc knowingly consecrated a notorious and public ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ named Jean Laborie. Thuc knew he was a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ, as Rama Coomaraswamy told him and told others that he told him. By consecrating Laborie, Thuc automatically excommunicated himself in the most severe way. We must have nothing to do with his consecrations due to this.

This is a fact that people like Cekada and Derksen completely gloss over. They won't even mention it if they don't have to. It gets one line in Derksen's "thorough" analysis. They simply needed a bishop and compromised their consciences to get one.

"This is a fact that people like Cekada and Derksen completely gloss over."

Yeah, like Gebel & gαye glossed over Petko's heavy petting of the Seminarians and attempted to oust Father Ramolla, and like how Toth here is making slanderous insinuations against Bishop Carmona.

Give up Toth. You have everything to lose if you continue this foolishness.

Not a single word about Carmona in the above.

  • Simple Catholic, Hobble, anyone,

Is the identity known of the person or people who run and contribute to the Vov site?

Jim Gebel, Sr., runs the Lay Pulpit blog, which has been inactive since October. At least this is my understanding. I suspect he is either the author or one of the authors of the VoV site too.

Craig Toth may be collaborating with Gebel on that site too. The bitter sarcasm and curious allusions and name-calling are reminiscent of the style of the Pristina posts.

It is my understanding that Eamon Shea is the person behind VoV, and Jim Gebel, Sr.  the Laypulpit site.  I am sure that Jim receives coaching from both Craig Toth and Eamon Shea; their writing styles are evident.

divert attention from Petco, while they regroup.
