If Prior T had played his cards right, he would probably already have the Church he desperately wanted. One of his fatal mistakes was closing the Miami chapel (then selling it)  and moving to Davie.

Apparently, there is a considerable demand for the TLM, and the Archdiocese of Miami is taking full advantage. I would not be surprised to learn that many parishioners attending this indult were former SSPX massgoers.

Wenski would gladly give the SSPX Broward if they stay out of Dade. Trust me, this back and forth has continued for over a decade.

Thank you for the information. That is what I thought would happen. So basically, most former SSPX chapelgoers in Miami are now going to the indult. The SSPX took these folks' chapel, sold it, and left the group without a place to worship. I believe the priest in West Palm Beach, Fr. Pieroni, was a Novus ordo priest, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone here can clarify the situation.

Yes, the Davie planning and zoning board denied four variances. So now they are stuck with land that cost parishioners a million dollars. And they still have the fundraiser asking for another million dollars.

Perhaps it is time for the faithful and benefactors who have contributed money for the purchase and construction of the school and/or church to demand an accounting of each penny.  If the Prior is the fiduciary for the projects, he must be held legally  accountable for the lack of due diligence in finding out about the local restrictions and ordinances of the land BEFORE the purchase!  The names on the deeds of the properties include Fr. Fullerton--is he the one who should have hired an architect, an attorney, and an accountant BEFORE raising the money from innocent people?  Unless ordinances were added or changed after closing, all the encuмbrances on the real estate should have been made known to the buyer before the time of closing.

If this were a secular business matter, attorneys would already be involved.  Is it possible that the donors are being defrauded intentionally?  Being a part of an international religious society makes transparency and accountability for other people's money even more imperative!

SSPX faithful should protect themselves and find out what is really going on in Florida!

SSPX Florida is very problematic. They insist on standing while Kyrie is sung, while priest is incensed at offertory, while sanctus is sung and Agnus Dei is sung. They are liberal IMO. Vernoy should be transferred. It's unreal that they decided to get rid of St Philomena in Miami. Now Indult is taking advantage of the vacuum now in Miami.

Simply standing during some parts of Mass isn't a huge deal, as customs can vary, and those sound like they're correct ... for a Solemn High Mass, and a lot of Missa Cantata's are incorrectly celebrated as if they were Solemn Masses.  If that were the least problem there, it's not a big deal.  But I hear that there's much more than that going on down there, largely due to the influx of Motarians / Indulterers.

I guess the SSPX haven't heard the adage about one rotten apple spoiling the entire bunch.  They kept thinking that they could reach so many more souls by getting regularized, but with an influx of Novus Ordites who are contaminated with worldliness, they're just going to gradually contaminate the Traditional Catholics, especially the children.  One of the hardest battles for a parent is to teach their daughters in particular to dress modestly, avoid modern worldly music, etc. ... but the battle is all but lost when these girls see other girls dressing immodestly and getting all the attention from the similarly-contaminated young men, while they are ignored or left in the corner by themselves due to (they think, and perhaps rightly) their modest dress.  They then resent their parents for it, and the second they have a chance may rebel against Traditional Catholicism and perhaps the Catholic Church in general.  They'll see that the priests permit this manner of dress, so why are my crazy parents more Trad than a Trad priest even?

Vatican II tried opening the windows to the world, and that was an unmitigated disaster, but I guess the SSPX have not learned ... unless this is all by design of the various infiltrators and destroyers.
