  • There were times, when Catholics (and even heretics) didn't vote for "remarried" candidates.
And in those cases, there were alternatives.

  • Fr. Altman, to whom I have been listening for months (including the recent video in the OP), is a rare brave cleric.  He has been brutally frank about the cowards in the episcopacy, the conformity in the clergy, and the heresy in the papacy.  Many of those he criticizes are in danger of losing their souls -- but particularly if they try to silence him now.  His sermons have gone viral, and I would hope that orthodox Catholics in his diocese make their appreciation of him known to his superiors, as publicly as possible.

  • When New Order promotes the agenda of the Federal Gov't, the Programs that are of Catholic Charities,  the New Order is serving the Democrats agenda, Marxist.
The people may vote republican, BUT, the agenda of the New Order is the agenda of Communism. True.

  • Unfortunately, only maybe 1% (if that) of baptized Catholics live the faith. There's no point in discussing how to fix the USA or ones country, when Catholic men do not even direct their own homes properly.
I hate mortgages as much as any faithful Catholic should, but how would you propose that people buy homes without them?  Would we be a nation of renters like Germany or France?

Thanks to some good financial management and two generations of frugality, my family owns two decent, well-built homes free and clear.   I am going to leave one of these homes to my son, so that he will never have to feed the mortgage beast either.  But not everyone is that fortunate.

And I will never understand why people so prize the mortgage interest deduction on one's taxes, when you are paying three times the value of the house, over 15 to 30 years.  I guess they think it's better than renting, and having nothing to show for it, except 360 cancelled checks and no equity at the end.

Unfortunately, long gone is the time when men could be though to own their homes "free and clear".  Just see what happens if you stop paying property taxes or if the government wants to invoke eminent domain.  See how much you "own" your home then.  By the time my parents had their 30-year mortgage paid off, their property taxes were HIGHER than their Principle & Interest payments.

We shouldn’t.  “Catholic” Biden  was with a married woman and ended up marrying her.
May God bless you and keep you

Republican Nelson Rockefeller's 1964 presidential campaign was partly derailed because he had divorced his wife and married a divorcee.  Conservative sensibilities about this topic seem to have shifted substantially by 1980 when Ronald Reagan was nominated and elected after being divorced and it was known that his 2nd wife Nancy was already pregnant when they married in 1952.  The widower Joseph Biden did marry a divorced non-Catholic in 1977.  No additional comment is needed regarding the current POTUS's regard for the sacredness of marriage.

Eminent domain is always a possibility, and at least in theory, the government is supposed to reimburse you justly, so it is not as though you've "lost" the value of it.  And as far as taxes are concerned, I am opposed to the government creating tax liens against real property --- let it remain a legal claim against the taxpayer (possibly ruining their credit and/or establishing a judgment in court) --- but there are a lot of things in life we "want", yet if you "want" in your right hand, and, well, do whatever in your left hand, guess which one gets full first.

I can't believe ANY Catholic would vote Democrat. But many do, and for stupid reasons:

    For their policies on immigration
    Anti-death penalty
    Pro-climate change agenda
    etc.

The Catholic Church does NOT teach that every man born has an innate, inalienable human right to immigrate to America (or any other country). Maybe we all have a right to live in our native country -- but any other country, it's up to them!

On the other hand, a baby has a right to life.

The abortion issue trumps all the others.
