Prefect of CDF rips ‘heretical’ reading of Vatican II

 CWN - November 29, 2012

The new prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) has said that traditionalist Catholics advance a “heretical interpretation” of Vatican II if they claim that the Council made radical changes in Church teaching.

Archbishop Gerhard Müller said that an accurate reading of Vatican II statements must assume that the Council’s statements are in keeping with the established teachings of the Church. The German archbishop strongly endorsed the argument of Pope Benedict XVI that a “hermeneutic of continuity” is required for a proper understanding of the Council.

And so I responded that it is a rare day that I do notice such disdain for the truth and am forced to reflect upon 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10:

Quote
For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:

The mainstream media must approve of Vatican II and the changes - and I mean approve 100%!  If they cared about telling the truth, they would highlight the nonsense coming from Vatican II apparatchiks like Card. Muller.

No changes?  Go to the early Mass at a SSPX chapel (note the ladies in dresses with the mantillas) then attend the 11 am "eucharistic celebration" (note the ladies in their really tight jeans and mini-skirts) at some novus ordo temple and you'll see entirely different species.

Then read a book written by a Saint from the 1800's or earlier and compare it with some gibberish from John Paul II.

Big changes in liturgy.

Big changes in theology.

Big changes in pious practices.

But since the mainstream media doesn't take the prerequisite ten minutes of research, I can only conclude they they thoroughly approve of the church's "autodemolition" and want it to continue to its logical conclusion.
