  • Sounds like Fr Joseph Pfeiffer. He has a multi-part sermon on hell uploaded and that is probably part of it.

Edit: Someone commented with the same.

  • I compared the first few minutes and it is this sermon originally uploaded in 2009 in several parts. It looks like someone uploaded it again but in one piece.

  • It does sound like Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer, both in content and in the sound of the voice.

    Excellent sermon.

Thank you for this post, much appreciated.

Reminds me of Padre Pio. Someone complained to him that their friend doesn't believe in hell. Padre Pio responded, "That's okay. He'll believe in hell just fine when he goes there."

Thanks.  It must be him.  You know when I was looking at the painting on the original video posted of that horrible demon eating that person in Hell I got to thinking of the cases of people accused of cannibalism after taking those bath salt drugs.  It's like a demon in that person taking over and needing to consume another person.  It must be a sign of possession, that being the need to destroy creation, scary.....

  • This sermon is well worth listening to again.

It has some excellent points about the gravity of hell. Gravity is a good word to use here because even if you try to misconstrue its connotation you won't get it wrong.

Souls fall into hell like a rock falls to earth: neither the rock nor the soul can do anything to stop the inevitable.

And also, the falling into hell is a very serious matter, the most serious matter, in fact, for anyone to consider or act upon in this short life. It is eternal consequence of temporal actions.

Fr. (Pfeiffer?) gives many examples from the saints, such as Don Bosco, just how imposing on us the reality of hell is. We are literally FOOLS not to spend some time every so often thinking about this subject.

So what do we have, in general, priests who give us this topic in sermons, like this excellent sermon available on the Internet? Generally, no. We have MSM headlines that when they mention hell, it's to quote some liberal nut case saying there's nobody in hell, it's empty, or "hell is not a place."

As Padre Pio said, that's okay, they'll suddenly believe that hell is in fact a place, and that it is far from being empty, when they go there.
