The Israeli rabbi who supervises the Western Wall has said that Pope Benedict XVI should not wear his pectoral cross when he visits the site in May. Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch said that it is not appropriate for a Christian leader to wear a symbol of his faith at a site sacred to Jєωs. He remarked: "I feel the same way about a Jєω putting on a tallit and phylacteries and going into a church." The rabbi has twice turned away delegations of Catholic bishops who refused to remove their pectoral crosses.

  • The Pope shouldn't visit Eretz Israel in the first place.

The Israeli's persecute the Palestinians, mock Pius XII, and refuse to deal with the Church over it's property.

Why on earth does he want to go?
