The Church is supposed to celebrate God's merciful love for any and all people.
What religion is this ?
Jesus said hell exists and it is a lake of fire, God destroyed sodomite cities. God was right then and God is right now. Atheists do not go to heaven and by definition are not good. We are not to even associate with gαy people.
The meditation of two standards- Jesus and his army is on one side of the battlefield and satan is on the other with his army. Standing beside satan is pope francis.
That is becacuse you are taking what the pope said out of context. He was talking about someone who comes to the Church, searching for God with goodwill. Let me remind you that Jesus ate with sinners. He allowed one to bathe his feet with perfume. He said that the Publican went home justified while the Pharasee (who never did anything wrong) went home without being justified.
Let me remind you that francis said that good atheists can go to heaven- essentially calling Jesus a liar, let me also remind you that St Paul told us that we are not to associate with the sɛҳuąƖly immoral and francis told us to open the doors wide to them.
Also, Jesus made a whip and he used it- Jesus was no hippie, poche.
You just stated that francis limited his statement to people of goodwill- while it is plain as day and quoted he said- 'any and all people."
Honestly poche, please stop.
Jesus was criticized because he associated with sinners. He forgave the woman caught in adultery. He said that the publican (trranslation very bad sinner) went home justified. He forgave the paralytic before he cured him of his physical ailment.
Jesus made the whip and used it on the the moneychangers (Part of the Temple administration) in the Temple.
Oh my goodness...where to start...?
Jesus associated with sinners, not to join in their sin, but to show them the way out of their sin. Francis does the opposite.
Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery AND told her to go and sin no more (you conveniently left that one out, Poche).
Poche, you point out some of Jesus' works but you don't mention the reason behind those works. The sole aim of all of Jesus' works (along with the ones you mentioned) is to lead sinners OUT OF THEIR SIN. I still have yet to hear Francis say anything to that effect...matter of fact, he delights and encourages others to participate in the sin of modernism, sin against the First Commandment, and many others. Jesus ate, drank, and associated with many sinners during His holy life on Earth with the sole purpose of leading them out of their sin and to follow His holy path. Francis has no intention of doing this.
