  • Oh my goodness...
The 3 ring circus continues in the Novus Ordo church  :jester::

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/may/12/pope-francis-even-martians-have-right-be-baptized/

Pope Francis said Monday that everyone has the right to be baptized — even aliens from outer space.
The pope said during his daily mass that the Catholic Church should not close its doors to people who wish to be baptized, even if they are “green men, with a long nose and big ears, like children draw,” French news agency AFP reported.
“If tomorrow, for example, an expedition of Martians arrives and some of them come to us … and if one of them says: ‘Me, I want to be baptized!’, what would happen?” he joked.
The Argentine pontiff is known for his colorful sense of humor and his down-to-earth style in representing the Church.
Francis has been firm in his stance, arguing that children of divorced or cohabiting parents should not be denied a baptism, AFP said.

  • A right to be baptized?  Forget the Martian part, does anyone have a right to baptism?
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • The funniest part was this:

"The Argentine pontiff is known for his colorful sense of humor and his down-to-earth style in representing the Church."
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

This is being spun as an example of his "humor."  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm not laughing.   Fooled you!   HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What if Martians are really devils?

Can Francis prove that 'aliens from outer space' are not demons?

Maybe he has met one or more.

Maybe he meets with them regularly.  That would explain a lot.

What happens when a devil is baptized?

Hey, maybe these E.T.'s can just have Baptism of Desire and be done with it.

Why would a devil want to be baptized?

Does Baptism have any true effects or are those all myths?

I have asked many trad priests about this issue over the years and they typically don't want to discuss it.  I think that's too bad, because now, obviously, it's time for the layman to put on his thinking cap and crank out some replies to this additional in-your-face garbage, as if it hasn't been enough that in one week .........................

~  we have been saddled with the Newcanonizations of two quasi-heretics
~  we have endured the blasphemous action of Baphomet-in-OK and black-mass-in Harvard
~  we have undergone the execrable announcement that Paul VI will be Newbeatified in October on the anniversary of Black Monday

They say things come in threes.   Well, this time it came in spades.

    What would happen?

If there were any real priests around, one of them would surely ask, "Who is going to be your Godfather and Godmother?  Who is going to teach you the Faith?  Have you had instruction?  Are you a catechumen?  How did you know to ask to be baptized?"  Because when and if the big day arises, the little green man would be asked, "What do you seek?"  What would he say?

You know:  REASONABLE questions would be asked.

But evidently none of these would be coming from the bishop of Rome.  For if he were to ask questions, they might well be as follows:

"How do you feel about baptism?  Do you have love in your heart?  Do you even have a heart?  Do you have a PULSE?"  Wait.  I lost focus there.  Francis would not ask about the alien's circulatory system, but what he MIGHT do, is he might offer him a little cardboard box with a picture of a human heart and an EKG on it, containing a rosary.  But would he pray the rosary with the alien, or, would he just sit in his chair facing another direction while the alien plays with the beads in his own way?

If he is able to fly over here then he is of the age of reason. He could recieve instruction. Then he could be baptized.

If you want to be Catholic and are willing to make the profession of faith and live the holiness that the Catholic church teaches why not?

What if they are messengers from God? We are only speculating. They may have been concieved without original sin and therefore not need to be baptized.
