  • In a preface to a new book of interviews, Pope Francis outlined his approach to speaking with journalists, explaining that he thinks interviews should be like a conversation and this is why he doesn’t prepare answers in advance.
“For me interviews are a dialogue, not a lesson,” the Pope wrote.
“I do not prepare for this,” he said, stating that he usually declines to read the questions when they are sent in advance, instead opting to answer organically, as he would in an actual conversation.
“Yes, I am still afraid of being interpreted badly,” he clarified, while adding that as a pastor, it’s a risk he’s willing to take.
“Everything that I do has pastoral value, in one way or in another,” he said. “If I did not trust this, I would not allow interviews: for me it is clear. It's a manner of communicating my ministry.”

  • Do you consider him to be a Pope?
Oh he surely does, and with a vengeance; however, he's at least less inconsistent and incoherent that the "cardboard pope" crowd.
    "Lord, have mercy".

  • I am almost afraid to ask.  'Poche' can you please define what a Pope is?  What are the duties of a Pope, relating to the Deposit of Faith of the Catholic church?  I'm cringing in anticipation as to what will be said.
I think that Matthew explained it very well when he said that the Pope is the visible head of the Catholic Church.

That is true for those who hold that the Conciliar entity is the Catholic Church. It is left to a future time to determine if he was a pope indeed,  when the Church has been unbound from the evil which holds back Her hand of Justice.

  • In the times we live in, Jesus Christ who always was and will be the Head of His Church, and knowing that He is the same yesterday, today and forever should tell us that we must rely on His True Vicars, defend their words.  This is not the time to compromise and give the Sacred Title of Pope to His enemy.  What kind of logic is that!

Does anyone here not believe the Catholic Church is a Divine Institution, not some man-made institution as ... say ... the Boy Scouts?

God allowed this to happen and what God ALLOWS is good, why in this case can it be good?

Because when the time is most perfect He will allow as was alluded to above, Our Lady will indeed reign and the entire world will see Her shine because God will bring such good out of this evil.  The devil will be crushed again, by the Mother of God, His Holy Mother.  Even the Jєωs will convert as prophesied.  My humble opinion of course.

    Please pray for my soul.

Might want to chew that one over a bit more ma'am; simplicity is a virtue, but being simplistic is not.

My thinking was since God allowed this evil, His allowing it is good because He will indeed make something so great resulting from the evil.  So very great because the evil is so very evil, this is my point in saying what I said, hopefully, I made myself clear this time.
In other words, He is allowing this evil so when He does make lemonade out of the lemon it will be so sweet that no one will resist it and they will see at last the power of God and His love for His Mother.  That will be when the Church will rise again and have total respect from the world.  Otherwise, He would never have permitted this crisis in the first place.
    Please pray for my soul.

That was Matthew in his original rules of the forum. He stated clearly that the Church was founded by Christ. There is a visible head of the Catholic Church who is the Pope in Rome.
