I see why he thinks the picture looks dirty. I thought it looked dirty also when pointed out to me though I have no idea if it was intentional on Francis' part.
I thought the same thing.
Ladislaus and others -- you shouldn't let your PARTICULARLY CLEAN minds interfere with your perception of what the Media is trying to portray, and what they are trying to accomplish.
"To the clean, all things are clean."
But there are some in this world who are POSITIVELY WICKED and whose wickedness good Catholics can't comprehend. In a way, that's a good thing. But it does leave us naive at times.
I try to be objective. I also ask myself, "What is my first impression of this?", "How does this news story make me FEEL?", "In which direction are they trying to pull me?" etc.
Not because feelings are everything, because I often go against them, but because A) MOST people do live by their feelings and B) I can thereby determine which way the current is flowing.
If the Media is trying to make me hate someone, I want to know that. Of course I'm not going to oblige them -- but I still want to be aware of the influence the Media is trying to have over me.
When I saw this, I instantly thought of the Jєωιѕн practice.
