Much to my surprise, I have discovered that the book Papal Chamberlain by MacNutt is indeed available as I had prev been spelling the author's name differently and it had not registered at addall. This is imp re: a news story I read today somewhere on the web about Mussolini being on payroll of 'Brit" Intellegence in WWI.

The book covers how Francis suspected that Ben 15 was someone involved in the effort to palce the stooge Mussolini( who had a background as a notoriuos left winger) in power. Some did know at the time that Mussolini and Hitler were coryphees.

The book also is the best source for an accounting of the relationship between St Pius and Card's Raphael and Rampolla vs Della Chiesa.
