"Trad enough"? "Smack Down" Are we 17? In a certain sense, many Neo-Trads are still stuck in their teens developmentally. How many grown adults do you know, Traditional or not who still listen to death metal? It is a sign of rebellious disorder in the teens years never reconciled, in my opinion.

It makes you wonder, since they still listen to death metal, are some of these types just using Traditional Catholicism as a way to rebel against their parents?

I take it Quis used to watch WWF, or perhaps still does.  :tv-disturbed:

  • Belloc,

    I don't post there.

I was responding here to the inanities he posted on his own site because he specifically mentioned me and the thread linked to my blog. It seems he and others can't get enough of me since my departure as they can't help but continuing to comment months later. Yes, the Neo-Trad commentary was recent. His second psycho-analysis was apparently months ago, though I just saw it since I don't frequently look at that site for obvious reasons.

Half the FE posters are lurkers here. Those who want to know the truth know where to go to find it. Der Fuhrer has apparently banned all mention and linking to CathInfo on his site. CathInfo is apparently far too dangerous for FE minds. Cath Info is on the Index of forbidden sites for Fishies! Nevertheless, they know about it and find it. It is the dirty little secret on FE.

They never mention or link to it on FE because they fear Quis at any moment might go pre-menstrual and ban them immediately.

part of reason the pop-up told me I was banned was for bad mouting FE at other sites.....hmmm, where and when.hmm...certainly excommunicatable....

  • As I said before, how would Quis know you are "bad mouthing" FE on other sites unless he looked at those sites himself?

He and the rest of them lurk here in the dark of night when nobody is looking to eye up some Truth, but in cowardice they run away not willing to get their hands dirty in an unprotected arena.

Quis nor his cheerleaders would never have the guts to debate on this forum because he couldn't have control of the microphone and the cheerleaders couldn't hide under his wing. He could not attempt to browbeat everyone into submission, lock threads when he does not get his way, and threaten to shut down subforums (see his exchange with Scipio in the linked thread). It is like trying to argue with an unstable pre-teen.

In any case, isn't it odd for FE to have a "Theological Debate" subforum? It implies that the rest of the subforums are for basically screwing around. Actually, I guess that is accurate.

This "TradOut" that QuisutDeus talks of is only applicable to cases where the inquirer into Traditional Catholicism has no access to a solid spiritual director or a church where he can obtain valid Sacraments (in other words, someone who's spiritual adviser is his laptop -- something which I am guilty of, and ashamed of).

The situation is even worse when you have a "spiritual director" like Quis' who supposedly approves of his marital arrangement. Quis and I had a discussion about the spiritual direction from one's priest before. He has this idea that we can rely on what our priest tells us to a moral certainty and he is using that to rationalize his actions. Obviously, the Church's teaching trumps whatever an individual priest says. In the same way he said that people could rely on their priest's advice to use birth control before Humanae Vitae. I see now why he said this. He had to , to justify his own situation.

That forum is turning into another Catholic Answers, only worse. I truly feel sorry for any person new to Traditional Catholicism seeking guidance at the site.

Indeed. I would truly send someone to the Trad section of CA rather than FE if they were a newbie. FE is much more sinister because they are the enemy within. CA posters, on the whole, have more of a sense of reverence and morality.
