  • The anti-pope Boniface desired to run Europe as if it were the Papal States. The Pope does of course have every right to run the Papal States in a unique way but this does not apply to the rest of the world.

    Mo is that he was doing this to consolidate his power as a means of combatting the nefarious allegations against him that have been noted prev.

  • OTOH a Pope( as Prisoner in the Vatican) deprived of temporal power in itself is not acc to Canon Law.  The great right wing Pope Leo XIII( assailed by so many in this forum as a dupe, fool, liberal and aid or abettor of heretical 'secret occult masons in the OTO') would have settled for the city of Rome and access to the Tyrrenian. The Freemason Franz-- Joseph would not lift a finger to help the Pope recover the temporal power.  :smoke-pot:
