    Myrna,

    Whose Imprimatur?

Okay innocenza,  I enjoy reading Catholic books, older ones with the stamp of Imprimatur, I collect them from thrift stores.  I also like reading the Popes encyclicals prior to Vatican II, I read Catholic periodicals from CMRI, where I attend.  I have hundreds of those little booklets with Catholic devotions that I have saved over the years.

One of my favorite books is "My Daily Bread" by Anthony J. Paone, S.J. 1954

In fact I have so many books here in my house, it will take the remainder of my life time to read them all.  We also have a wonderful library at CMRI here in Spokane, that I am welcome to browse anytime.

That's about it, for Catholic reading.

I also pray to discern what I read, because I pray to the Holy Ghost, I have a beautiful prayer book to the Holy Ghost, and feel too many people ignore Him more than they should.  Not saying you ignore Him, I wouldn't know that, just speaking in general.

I avoid books that go over my head, because I simply do not understand them, and feel the True Church shouldn't be complicated.

I enjoy reading books about watercoloring, and painting techniques, books on HTML and web designing, see my web site at www.SeatofWisdom.com; I know its not the best web site in the world, but I did it myself with books for dummies, which I am.

    Thanks for the interest!
    Please pray for my soul.

  • Just noticed your signature, Myrna.  I once ran into a man who claimed that we are not calling God by His true name, so that verse doesn't apply to us.   :confused1:

God's ways  are simple; man's ways are complicated.

  • That's my favorite Fatima picture.  They have that represented with statues in the Holy House at the Fatima Shrine in Washington, New Jersey.

My Daily Bread is the first meditation book I ever bought when I was 15.  It cost $1.00 back then.   I still use it and love it!

Yes I like that quote, in fact when I lived in California, some Church had that plastered very high on a bill board off to the side on a highway, it was there for years and years, and I would read it a ponder each time I went by.

I don't think its the name that Our Dear Lord is bothered with but the sins of the entire world are greater and greater, still no sin is greater than the mercy of God.
    Please pray for my soul.

I still have my original "My Daily Bread book" too, from when I was only 13 years old.

So do I!  You can still see the price in it even though it is quite faint.  It's a book you never outgrow.
