In a rare move today Pope Francis I made a formal apology to all owners and employees of Jєωιѕн vending stalls in the holy land for the unfair beating and chasing that Jesus Christ administered nearly 2000 years ago.
"This is inexcusable and if I had been there it never would have happened, not on my watch." Stated Pope Francis who also pointed out he was born in 1937 long after the incident occurred.
While Pope Francis is still refusing to meet with family members and other victims of the beatings and their lawyers he did state that he felt that anger management courses and background checks for all clergy and lay people who in the future would be working with money changers was in order.
"Jesus had no right to do what he did and for that wrongful thoughtless act I apologize on behalf of the entire Catholic Church. The Pope added.
Poche, attending the event where the apology was given quietly added, "The Pope has to be a politician of his times and not a prisoner of the Holy Land and servant of Old Testament scripture. The Church and it's leadership needs to evolve with the times and Jesus beating money changers shows us the importance of that. If just one person converts over this apology then it was worth it."
