This reality-check should not get a SINGLE downthumb. I think I know who it was (but I haven't verified it) -- our resident Indult cheerleader Soulguard who has been quite active this morning already.

I think it's very likely the priest (singular) was killed for his car, not because he was a Catholic or because he was a priest. If true, he would not be a martyr.

I'm all for getting emotional, teary-eyed and whatnot, but let's stay reasonable, shall we? Facts must be acknowledged.

During the Mass, Father Alonso Saenz struggled to find words to describe the loss, and broke down in tears for his fellow priests.

Saenz said the night was very difficult, mostly spent in the hospital. He said that he had given the Apostolic Blessing to Walker when he died, and continued to ask the community for prayers for Walker's soul, and for Terra's recovery.

I think that the article reports that Fr Saenz (not the badly injured Fr Terra) gave last rites to Fr Walker, while in hospital before Fr Walker died. Actually it makes sense. No doubt he must have also given extreme unction to Fr Terra. Let's hope and pray for the recovery of Fr Terra.

That could be, but I thought Fr. Walker was shot dead on site.
