  • It's from the Distorter so who knows, but I find it terrifying. And I'm several states down. But I know I have friends up there from here. Maybe plan for a vacation.

    V2 AB Chaput is excited:

    Quote from: CapYou

"Everywhere I've been where the pope has gone, it's been a moment of grace for the local church," Chaput said.

"I experienced that in an extraordinary way in Denver, where I inherited a diocese that had hosted World Youth Day," he said, referring to the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1993. "That visit changed the face of Denver."

Of course, Colorado's been in nosedive territory since that date (Columbine, fires, vicious rapes of elderly   the Aurora shooting, marijuana legalized ...I guess the "usual"). But I'm notably NOT as impressed as Chaput. My new motto is, #PrayersforPhilly Possibly a rosary crusade needs to be organized.

    Just a head's up.

  • Yes, this is serious.

Maybe if you write Francis a letter telling him what is really meant by the expression City of Brotherly Love he will cancel ?

  • He likes to live dangerously, maybe he should go to Detroit, too.

  • Yeah, zero desire to correspond in any fashion with Rome. I'd rather the NSA know my every movement (ie, buy an XBox One) than let any part of the NO have my physical address or phone number. That's one phone call I'd not answer. But I'd fear a visit, because we have to be nice. I'd probably gather my family and leave the home though another door and Von Trapp it over the mountains and through the woods.

(Okay, "down the street and into the mall" is more like it, but it doesn't sound as good.)

I can't believe people are planning trips to Philly based on this rumor.   (They've had a terrible rape in PA recently, too, which is so bothersome I'm still praying about it.)

Detroit doesn't need more "blessings" from that quarter. But SanFran! (Sorry anyone from that area; just cross over into Oakland for the week!) I'm sure the Rome entourage would feel far more comfortable in SanFran!

They would have to sell off more stuff for the flight. He'd probably like that though.
