Do you doubt the authenticity of officially promulgated texts authorized by the Vatican?

Let me answer by saying that I do not hold their authenticity at the same level as Scripture. They may contain errors. Mostly, however, it is the translations that contain errors.

    The Scriptures are translated too.

Exactly. Which is why I do not hold to the translation of the Scriptures, but, as Pope Leo XIII rightly taught, I hold to the authentic hagiogrphs themselves.

...if the text and the translation are true, then it is no doubt my understanding which is at fault.

The problem is that some people who are not blinded DO UNDERSTAND what they mean. They realise the fault lies in the people who are preaching the new gospel of V2. The fault lies in their texts, utterances, and actions.

Maybe Pax will stop playing games and going in circles, and instead knuckle down and do some honest research.

If I find what appears to be a contradiction, then I come to one of three conclusions: (1) the text is faulty, (2) the translation is faulty, or, (3) I myself do not understand.

Pax then went on to attempt to smash his #1 together with his #2.

Then he tried to smash his #1 together with his #3.

He tried to gloss over his originally held #1 "the text is faulty" as a stand alone reason.

Under all his bluster, he may realize that some of the texts of the Robber Church, as officially promulgated, and untranslated ...are heretical.

Hence his slipperyness... which looks like it continue here with those who engage him.

But, I cannot believe that and still hold to the indefectibilitry of the Church, and I do not have enough pride to proclaim that I am the Church.

  • Notice how that pax person implies that we are full of pride and that we proclaim we are te Church.

HE is the one who acts like a Protestant - just making up his case as he goes along and aticking to it even though it has no foundation.

On the contrary, when a Protestant hears something he does like he forms a new church.

Exactly what the Novus Ordo has done. They're protestant; they've created a new Church; but this time, they've done it in a sneaky way to make people believe its Catholic.

And then there is that one guy who sits in his padded cell and is thoroughly convinced the rest of the world is insane.
