When Paul VI comes back from hiding, he'll restore Christendom!  Then Elvis and Tupac will appear, they'll bring racial peace and also save rock and rap!  Don't forget John Denver and John Lennon!  They'll unite the leftist hippies and the nostalgic republican baby boomers.  Oh, I can't wait til this "period of peace".

Imagine all the people...
Pax, what in the heck does that have to do with anything?

What a glorious period that would be!

The Feenyites say it is the Modernist that have wormed their way into the thinking of approved Catholic books such as the Baltimore Catechism et al.  They claim this infiltration has been going on for generations and so it has, I am sure, little by little. I agree!

My, aren't we mentally disturbed by the truth about EENS that we interject this into even this thread?  Obsessed much, Myrna?

In any case, the stupidity of this "judge not" response has been exposed repeatedly and yet cannot penetrate your brain.  Nobody is "judging"; we are discussing the objective criteria, as taught by the Church, by which one can be saved.  If I say that someone who dies in unrepented mortal sin cannot be saved, is that "judging" too?

Yes Barry and might I add mine:
Matthew 7;1  Do not judge, that you may not be judged.  For with wHe takes the child and pouring the water over his forehead, and quietly says the words while the water is flowing, "I baptize thee in the name of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph."

The Godparents do not even notice the mistaken words for they are too busy calming the crying child as all the witness too are distracted with the crying child.

The child grows into an adult who likes most of us spends their life trying to do what the Church says but has been taken in by the teachings of Fr. Feeney and his followers.

Nice emotion "theology", Myrna.  If that person did not receive the Sacrament of Baptism, then it was because God, for some reason known only to Him, did not will that this person should receive it ... just like any infant who might die without the Sacrament.  Or are you going to try telling me that unbaptized infants who die can be saved also?  But, if not, why are you judging them?

The comparison is pointless, Ladislaus, because the case is not the same at all. The children without proper reason do not go to hell but to limbo, and they will live on the surface of the earth at the end of the world. While adults have reason and will go either to hell or to heaven. Therefore the eventuality is not the same at all, you cannot make this comparison...

The argument of MyrnaM is indeed decisive, and when Sister of the Nativity had doubts about the validity of her baptism (a stupid kind of fear) the Lord told her that even if her baptism were invalid, she would benefit from the baptism of desire.
