100 years of modernism

There probably is a thread way back about this, but I just wanted to recommend a book which I read years ago, but really stuck with me in terms of understanding the crises in the Church.

It is 100 years of Modernism by Fr. Dominic Bourmaud.

It give a historical sweep of how we got here with neo modernism (the vatican II type rather than the Pashendi type). It explains the development of the ideas which lead to it. With surgical precision and intelligence.

It can be hard to get through but if you stick at it, you wont regret it.

This and the Catechism of the Crises are the two best books that any trad should read. So much of trad conversation seems to be ignorant of what neo modernism even is. Many trads try to explain modernism in terms of the Liturgy, which it is only partially, and miss the most important aspect of it. Which is that it states that the faith is a feeling rather than an act of the will.

Anyway, here is the link 100 Years of Modernism

Especially recommended for any young men thinking of becoming a priest someday.
