  • Couldn't you get a Byzantine/Eastern bishop who also had faculties in the Old Rite to ordain priests of the NO/FSSP if the Rite is doubtful? 

    I know there are some priests like this, who serve in both the Latin and other Eastern church.

    What say you?

  • Yes, but it is prohibited by canon Law.

    That law could be dispensed with, however (e.g., necessity).

    But it would never happen, for precisely the reason you would want it to happen:

    It would be seen as the questioning of the validity of the form of the new rites, and for that reason, the dispensation would be withheld.
