  • I frankly do not understand how anyone can read Jesus speaking below and, at least after that, in incredible obstinancy presume to think that he knows better and still will not believe what he is taught.

I poured from it Blood and Water, to show thee the baptism of water which is received in virtue of the Blood. I also showed the baptism of love in two ways, first in those who are baptized in their blood shed for Me which has virtue through My Blood, even if they have not been able to have Holy Baptism, and also those who are baptized in fire, not being able to have Holy Baptism, but desiring it with the affection of love. There is no baptism of desire without the Blood, because Blood is steeped in and kneaded with the fire of Divine charity, because through love was it shed.


    In truth, this and this alone should suffice and nothing else should be necessary. But because so many Feeneyites for some reason imagine they are at least on a par or even much better than the Saints of the Church and thus very well qualified to dispute intricate matters of sacred doctrine with them, even when the subject in question is directly attested by God and approved by the Church, we go further.

    That this exegesis of the blood and water (and spirit) that Christ Our Lord poured from His Sacred Heart is evident even in Sacred Scripture and is found in patristic Tradition, a few citations will suffice to establish.

This is the baptism which both stands in lieu of the fontal bathing when that has not been received, and restores it when lost." ...  "strictly speaking, there cannot any longer be reckoned ought against the martyrs, by whom in the baptism (of blood) life itself is laid down. Thus, "love covers the multitude of sins;" and loving God, to wit, with all its strength (by which in the endurance of martyrdom it maintains the fight), with all its life (which it lays down for God), it makes of man a martyr."

This has a mystical meaning ... it might be understood also as prefiguring the twofold grace of baptism, one that which is given by the baptism of water, the other that which is sought through martyrdom in the outpouring of blood, for both are called baptism."


    And if it is established that this is the meaning which the Fathers of the Church who comment on it have given to this particular passage, then neither is any alternate exegesis of these passages by private judgment allowed, for "it is permitted to no one to interpret the Sacred Scripture contrary to this sense or likewise contrary to the unanimous consent of the Fathers." (Vatican Council, Session III, April 24, 1870, Dogmatic Constitution on the Catholic Faith:)

    Otherwise, some alternate exegesis of this particular passage that excludes such a meaning from the Fathers of the Church should be presented.

    St. John, the Apostle of love, who leant on the Lord's Sacred Heart at the Last Supper, and is the Apostle who recorded the Blood and Water, assures us,

    5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, Jesus Christ: not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit which testifieth, that Christ is the truth. 7 And there are three who give testimony in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one. 8 And there are three that give testimony on earth: the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are one.


    This is triune baptism - triune just as God is Triune and not a monad - of water, of spirit and of blood. Surely anyone and everyone who so wills is capable of learning for himself or herself from the Saints of the Church and of submitting to what the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ wishes to teach us, the meaning of the Water and the Blood. The triune baptism, as Jesus Himself explains, is the reason He poured Blood and Water from the right side of His own most Sacred Heart.

I support the FSSP, the SSPX and other priests who work for the restoration of doctrinal orthodoxy and liturgical orthopraxis in the Church. I accept Vatican II if interpreted in the light of Tradition and canonisations as an infallible declaration that a person is in Heaven. Sedevacantism is schismatic and Ecclesiavacantism is heretical.
