true, an example-use the search engine at TIA and when you type in Savonarola, you get on find..in it, they lable him a heretic and go no further...no proof, etc...
I would urge anyone interested in Savonarola to get Michael davies talk on him through Keep the Faith...he makes a good point that for all his faults, Savonarola was not a heretic...I noted this in a thread to Roscoe, who thought differently...noted torture confessions are NOT reliable, jack Bauer to the contrary....
Many, inc Popes Pius V and Pius X, Cardinal Caraffa, future Pope Paul IV, etc were fans of Savonarola...
yet TIA just pablems a accusation and moves on, no other thoughts on it...
just like their articles of: oppose the war=dissent and unpatriotic...
A lot of agenda and angst there, not much on facts....
