  • pax, you are so lost. Seriously lost.

And you confirmed this to all of us by saying "you don't read articles from heretics and schismatics". Do you know what heresy and schism even are?

If only I was so bold when the Novus Ordo first had its death grip around my soul. Then I would have been a traditional Catholic much earlier.

    You are in my prayers.

heresy -- denying a truth revealed by the holy Roman Catholic Church

schism -- refusing communion with the subjects of the legitinate Successor of Blessed Peter

An example of heresy would be denying the truth that the laity cannot judge teachings the Pope has bound the Church to believe.

An example of schism would be refusing to attend a Mass promulgated by the Pope as a legitimate Rite of the Church.

In other words most traditional Catholics here are actually schismatics ---- according to the pax.  :stare:

So Benedict changes the words of the Consecration back to "for many" to get rid of the controversy on that matter. Ok, now how about we just toss aside the Bogus Ordo all together? Benedict can change it all he wants, but regardless of what he adds or removes the fact remains that it was started by Freemasons to please the Protestants, and we are not obliged to attend such an apostasy. I'll be glad when the entire thing, along with Vatican II, is flushed down the toilet one day.

I agree SS- because the only thing all us trads wanted was to change "For All", back to "For Many"!

The Mass of Pope Paul VI always had the word "multus" in the original text. It was not any Pope who changed "multus" to "totus". The problem was the ICEL translators who translated "multus" as "for all". What Pope Benedict XVI did was appoint his own translators who would translate "multus" correctly as "for many".

You guys are out in left field if you think there has been a change in the Latin.

  • Also, the translation of "et cuм spiritu tuo" has been corrected.

But I do note that I have a Roman Missal translated by +Fulton Sheen which consistently translates "et cuм spiritu tuo" as "and also with you."

  • I think I just lost all patience with pax. He needs prayers.

In the meantime, I have no desire to continue debating with him.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

If you tell me that the man sitting in the Chair of Blessed Peter is not the Successor of Blessed Peter, then, yes, you are a schismatic.

    It is not my declaration.

I think this is a pretty good article on schism.

  • If I declare something, can I be pope next?   :incense:
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

Why not, you could not possibly do any more harm than the other bogus popes at the Vatican have been doing since V2.

In fact you would no doubt be much better.
