Matthew: Sorry guys, I don't have time in my life right now for legal troubles or having to defend myself legally.

Matthew does not permit a reply to this earlier topic.  I think I understand why.  I doubt that he fears possible legal reprisals from, say, Church Miltant or Lifesite News.  No, I think he's talking about SSPX.  Knowing, as he must, that this particular business/religious organization does not shy away from litigation when it thinks it can easily intimidate and overcome a potential defendant. (In this case that would be CI.)
What probably happened, though I have no proof, Matthew got a friendly call or, maybe, an email from some SSPX higher up, advising him to let the matter drop... or else.

  • These “religious”organizations have huge expensive legal teams.  They have zero mercy and would crush decent Catholics.
    Pure evil and hypocrisy.
May God bless you and keep you

  • He explained why he did what he did quite clearly.
"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

The Highest Principle in the Church: "We are first of all under obedience to God, and only then under obedience to man" - Fr. Hesse

  • Your suspicion is totally off, Hollingsworth.

Regarding the broad topic of this CM report and anything touching on it, I have not received ANY e-mails, physical letters, or phone calls from any organizations, legal departments, lawyers, or anything of that nature thus far.

I am just being prudent. I know what kind of stuff can happen. Let's just say you learn certain things as you get older and have experiences in life.

    Case closed (pardon the pun).

    And for Hollingsworth:
It's not as though CM is invisible. They are getting the "word" out, assuming the word needs to get out. It's not as though if CathInfo lets them down, the whole cause is finished. CathInfo doesn't NEED to get involved. I'm pretty sure CM is several times the size of CI as far as daily traffic and reach. That is my point. We have nothing constructive to add. Anyone who believes the CM report can read and re-read CM's report as many times as they wish, and take whatever actions they deem necessary (removing kids from schools, changing chapels, withdrawing support from the SSPX, etc.). No one is attempting to stop them.

Why do you need so badly for this to be all over CathInfo?

I told you already: someone (a layman, not a lawyer) wrote in, and advised that legal action WAS pending on this matter. And no, I would not like to get involved at this time. Have a nice day.

There was no proof of this, but just the suggestion was enough. I just don't believe that CathInfo's "involvement" is worth ANY risk. The risk/reward ratio is just too far off. Meanwhile, our potential to do good in this situation is almost zilch.
