  • 1) In consideration of the current abnormal situation in the Church, what are some other good reasons besides being the father of their realm of jurisdiction for why the Pope, bishops, and priests should remain in them and not travel so much?

    2) What of episcopal conferences? I know that they should not exist, but is it true though that instead, archbishop had an authority of jurisdiction over a province and that primates and patriarchs had authority of jurisdiction over larger geographical regions?

    3) Considering the recent resignation of Benedict XVI and the possible resignation of Francis, did the Church before Vatican II have any sort of provision for if the Pope became incapacitated in any way?

    Thank you.
