Title: Observation of Missouri Boat Tragedy and Baptism
Post by: ca246 on July 24, 2018, 01:36:44 PM
This video (https://youtu.be/y_U-0JwbwP4?t=2m36s) of a recent tragedy perhaps serves as an example of the grace of Almighty God who knows all and has a greater plan for everyone. Note how at the 2:25 mark, one of the relatives mentions that a boy who died was recently baptized. As long as the right words are said, water used, and intention held, baptism is valid even if confected by heretics. His father was a "deacon" and he was likely surrounded by heresy, including sola fide and the denial of "sins unto death." One can only speculate what could have happened had he not died at that moment, considering that baptism is necessary for salvation and it remits all previous sins...

"Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
-John 3:5

"But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
-Acts 2:38

✠ Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

They were likely all of "good will" and "implicitly" baptized as a group.

Baptism performed by a Protestant is still doubtful, though not necessarily invalid. The Protestants heresy regarding Baptism leafs to doubts. Hey, if there wasn’t I wouldn’t have needed to go through conditional Baptism and another general confession, edoing literally every Catholic thing over again. It’s a serious matter
