  • It's being reported in CatholicCulture.com that certain priests within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee are publicly complaining about the updated translations to the Novus Ordo Mass, which are closer to the more theologically sound and reverend Traditional Latin Mass.

According to CatholicCulture.org, "The bottom line for me is why," said Father Alan Jurkus. "Why, with everything else that's going on in the Church, do we have to rub salt in the wounds?"

"For some people this will be very unsettling," added Father Ken Smits. "The real concern is among the parish priests, who will have to explain something many of them are not in favor of."

"You can call it whatever you like, but it's not English," said Father David Cooper, president of the Milwaukee Archdiocese Priests Alliance. "The language of prayer is supposed to be evocative, graceful, uplifting. This reads like clunk-clunk-clunk-bang-boom."

  • In my final days in attending the Novus Ordo that ended in
1985. Priests were putting in their own words that were
neutered, ad libbing, and skipped or changed the words
to soul, eternity, eternal, and hell. This also affected
    the words of the consecration
You did not dare complained about, if you did, you
were asked to leave the parish.

I know exactly how you feel. The NO churches are emptying, and they slap each other on the back for the "great job" they're doing.

Thanks be to God I have the TLM only an hour and a half away up in Camp Lejeune.

    Who offers Mass there?

Fr (Commmander) Aiden Logan. He'll be retiring soon, but just sent a young Lt, Father Bautista-Rojas to "Latin Mass Bootcamp" as Fr. Logan puts it.

    Thank God.

Do those priests exclusively celebrate "the extraordinary form of holy Mass" or do they also do the NOM?

I'm not 100% sure, but from what I've seen, Fr. Logan only celebrates the TLM.
