People arrived at a small rural Church at 6:30pm.    The Church was dark.  More people pull up.
A mother with her young son get out of their vehicles and head for the Church door.   It was locked.  7pm comes and still Church is locked.  Then people were told they had Canceled via Facebook due to bad weather.  And yet the parish center hall was opened for basketball practice.
It wasnt canceled.   The funeral that was at the Church earlier that day wasn't canceled.

And yet the Stations of the Cross were cancelled while basket practice in Church parish center wasn't.

May God bless you and keep you

  • I guess that the weather was too bad for the priest to walk over from the rectory ... undoubtedly joined with an interior walkway to the church, as most NO complexes are now.  I've heard stories (from the people involved) of NO priests being "too busy" to administer Last Rites to a dying person due to watching a football game on TV; I kid you not.

  • In my novus ordo heydays, when I started to get more than an inkling of the dysfunction, the parish priest would arrange his pastoral schedule (via the parish matriarch who selects the mass/vestments/prayers/songs/ etc.. you know the type) around the March Madness basketball game schedules.  I kid you not also.

  • It's one of these combined communities.  Two priests two deacons.
It would be common sense if the priest was living at the rectory.  The parish center was supposed to be used for Catechism but hypocrite Catholics have rented to school board, scouts , women's club, and secular activities.

Someone was too lazy and indifferent to open the Church doors and lead The Stations of the Cross. Don't really need the NO priest.

    Overpaid boot licking Pseudo Catholics.

Sad to say my sister in law is a sister of mercy and is a major hypocrite.  Notre Dame football is a priority.  I feel sorry for her.

  • The priests in our area make time to party with non Catholic politians and attend prayer breakfasts.

I tell my neighbors that SSPX travel from Connecticut to Philly for Mass.

Excuse me. I have to turn the channel.  There's guitars on ewtn.

May God bless you and keep you

I'm sorry.  I'm upset.  I should be praying for these people.

  • Forgoing Last Rites for television? That is nefarious. Truly evil.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

  • The Novus Ordo sect has its priorities.  If that is where you worship, then you have to live with it.
