  •   Suppose that a catholic family lives in Saudi Arabia or any such place in the world where there are either no priests or if there are any they are only modernist/ coward ones who have the permission to be there. (as you know V2 priests are ready to flatter enemies of our faith, so they may be able to survive in such countries even at the expense of their faith)
What should the above mentioned families do from the theological point of view?

  • I don't know if I would live in Saudi Arabia, or such a place where practicing Christianity openly (much less Catholicism) might be difficult...

But assuming that immigration is impossible, I would do what Catholics have always done. Denied the sacraments, turn to the rosary and Our Lady for help. Pray for the conversion of your country. Pray for the freedom of the church. And pray for protection and help.

Praying the rosary - especially 15 decades a day and also the litany to Our Lady... will help.

How fast that help comes is up to God, but you must have faith.

  • Pray the Holy Rosary every day and wear the Brown Scapular (make one, even tiny if at all possible)  say the Act of Contrition.  Pray very much for those hypothetical priests in Saudi!!!!  You never know the mysterious ways of God.

Even with what we have here in the US, we squander our graces and opportunites endlessly

Keep up the good fight, dearest Spouse!

(The men can probably tell you about the theology)

  • I agree, pray each day.

I have been subjected to such heresies in the Novo Ordo church that I adhere to minimal attendance, and I strive to keep a daily "order" in line with traditional Catholicism.

I pray the "Our Father" each day and try to pray also at least one decade of the Rosary. I attend Mass online where there are videos of the traditional rites and I attend a Novo Ordo where I can go to confession with a priest who is at least reasonably Catholic.

I do believe that the office of Pope and the line of Bishops and Priests are protected through Holy Orders to be able to administer the Sacraments even in times of widespread apostasy.

As Catholics, we are free to rely more on the Sacraments than on the individual opinions of priests. When we cannot get them, we can rely on prayer and the Communion of Saints to uphold us.

The "Our Father" is the direct order of prayer in a form provided by Christ to help us stay on track in our relationship with God the Father, and so daily praying it protects us from the creeping inroads of personal heresy.

Good observation. Judge by the fruits. When the going gets tough, I think that few Christ centered Catholics that still believe in the Gospel - they will have a chance. Sorry folks, Fatima and the rosary tells me you are halfway there to being a Muslim. Those beads are like Prozac pills, they might give you a fuzzy warm feeling, but in the end, the pope still carries a satanic cross, has not repented of 1986 Assisi and many other heresies etc. etc. And the Catholic "traditionalists" always carry water for the Magic-steerum . Instead of following the words of Jesus Christ, they hold the words of apostate clergy over scripture. The Catholic Church has become a Masonic checkerboard with both good and evil often placed on a equal basis. Luke 18:8 questions if there will be any faith when Christ returns. So this feeling of being alone in Saudi Arabia, it is better to be alone in the desert than to be with back stabbing friends who call themselves traditionalists. Perhaps Fr. Cekada might have a few words on that subject.

  • Yes, CM, I regret to say that he does.

He apparently has a problem with the papacy and the Magisterium in general -- not just the VII "papacy" and "Magisterium."

You are holding the tradition of the spotless bride of Christ beneath your interpretation of scripture, Classiccom.  It was not apostate clergy who sat at the Vatican I Council.

In your PMs to me you often quote pop singers like Neil Young; this will addle your brain.  Purify your ears.  Listen only to chant and polyphony.  Tune out all the devil's works and read St. Thomas and St. Augustine, and for relaxation read history.  Fiction is mostly to be avoided.   Don't watch movies, they are full of false prophecy and are like the Witch of Endor or Greek sibyls of our time.

This may all sound extreme but believe me, for those who can do it, it works wonders.  I used to need constant stimulation and now I'm at the point where I can stare at the wall all day.  It's tough to conquer the noonday demon.

I used to be sort of where you were, maybe even worse.  I had an enormous rock music collection and the devil flattered me through the lyrics channeled by his human dupes.  Mostly I was self-consumed to a degree that was unbelievable and just wanted to be really famous.  I spent my twenties hatching extremely elaborate, apocalyptic movie scripts by which I thought that I would wake everyone up.

At one point I had all sorts of wacky theories, like that the Book of the Apocalypse was the Jєωιѕн Kabbalah in Christian form and that the Christ at the end who rules with an iron rod was really Lucifer.  It was amazing how, when I became Catholic, and learned that the "angels" of the Apocalpyse are bishops, it all came together the correct way.  Well, not "all," as I don't understand nearly all of it, but in general.

It was REPUGNANT to me at first to accept that the Apocalpyse was true Scripture, so deeply had I convinced myself it was a fraud.  But I knew the Church could not have been wrong all this time, so I forced myself, and it was worth it.  I now think it's beautiful.  This just shows you how we have to submit OUR wills to the Catholic Church, not vice versa.  No matter how smart you think you are, you aren't smarter than God or His Church.

It may seem ludicrous that I even have to point this out, that we aren't smarter than God or His Church, yet if everyone knew it, there would have been no Protestant rebellion.  If we are going to question the "Popes" of recent times, it may only be done because they go against what was always understood as tradition.

I know the times we're in can drive you crazy.  The dogmas will be your road map out of the darkness.  You can start with the dogma of papal infallibility.  Write me if you need help.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • P.S. I say "Read St. Augustine" when I have barely done it.  I've been MEANING to.  I do read a lot of St. Thomas.

    =========================================

That was a private message that I was trying to express something that was a burden on my heart. I was expressing myself in a whimsical fashion which goes against the grain of normal robot dogmatic traditionalists. The idea was that Heaven communicates with Earth in the following order :

     1.Catholics
     2. Protestants
     3.  Jєωs
     4.  Cool Indians like Neil Young
    ..
      8. rocks and stones - earthquake (go back to top of list)

It was kind of like a joke but it has a basis in scripture.  It was kind of a rebuke to people who only good they recognize is something that rolls out of the Vatican. God does work through individuals throughout history and that is the way I read the Gospel.

Anyway the other reference was doing a take off on Neil Young's Keep on rockin in the free world - Keep on Chanting in the Free world. There is a sense of urgency in that song that could be used in a similar fashion to alert the onset of the apocalypse. My beef with rosary type prayers is that they don't address specific needs to our Lord Jesus. For example, we need a Christian pope who will not mix Christianity with Satanism.
Make that a prayer and publish it. I was hoping someone would come along who could pull it off. "You can do nothing without me"  - So I guess I don't have what it takes, but I do see the potential of saving millions of souls with something as simple as a youtube song . So while were talking about idealistic but imperfect rock stars, there is a line from John Lennon

If you go carrying pictures of Charman Mao,
You aint't gonna to make it with anyone anyhow.

Same logic applies to Catholics who follow popes carrying a Satanic 5th century crucifix. These wolves need to be publicly outed and Catholics need encouragement to keep their faith, especially in these times.

Anyway I feel kind of embarrassed when you confide in someone to have it strangely muddled in public so that makes me look like a cross between Charles Manson and Pee Wee Herman.

Classiccom, the Rosary is a much more effective way to petition Christ for anything at all.  Rather than approaching Him directly (if the least in heaven is greater than John the Baptist, who was perhaps the third holiest human being EVER, then how lowly and filthy must we be in God's eyes?).

Through the Rosary Catholics (who accept the Vatican Council) are able to petition the Blessed Virgin (who was NOT at Fatima), beseeching her to go to her Son on our behalf.

She is able to get leniency from the terrible Almighty judge, whereas if we just asked on our own, we might even be odious to God, depending on our spiritual state, which we can never know with any certainty.

    "To Jesus through Mary"

Because Jesus willed to come to us through Mary, He also wills us to go to Him through her (St. John 19:26)

    Quote from: Ecclesiasticus 24:23-31
As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odour: and my flowers are the fruit of honour and riches.

I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope.

In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue.

Come over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my fruits.

For my spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the honeycomb.

My memory is unto everlasting generations.

They that eat me, shall yet hunger: and they that drink me, shall yet thirst.

He that hearkeneth to me, shall not be confounded: and they that work by me, shall not sin.

They that explain me shall have life everlasting.
