  • Browsing through the names, there seems to be a shift in favour of Spanish-speaking leaders.

Does anyone know anything about their orientation as far as traditional Catholicism is concerned?

  • From what I have gathered, they have excluded many rabid anti-SSPXers.  This in itself is good, but the motive is suspect.  Do they wish to come to the aide of the SSPX for personal reasons, like that it will strengthen their group significantly if the SSPX becomes a part of their Ecclesia Dei.  I don't think that putting people in support of the Society in leadership roles is necessarily a bad thing, but the motive and apparent eventual outcome seem bad.  The Costa Rican chapter got rid of a few rabid anti-SSPXers a few years ago and invited a Society priest after many attempts to ask the local ordinary for a Tridentine Mass on the basis of the Summorum Pontificuм, while ignoring that the Summorum Pontificuм says that no permission was needed.  Finally, they saw that it was useless.  There is also an Una Voce in Cuba that is attempting to rebuild Christendom on the island and have been receiving an SSPX priest.  From what I understand, the majority of Spanish-speakers of Una Voce are supporters of the SSPX.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Hello Mr Bogle and all FIUV Counsellors,

I know who's giving the messages to Tom and Leo.

It's a good number of Counsellors.

    Around half I think ...

If they don't admit their guilt and inform the honorable President, I leave it up to me and in consultation with Mr Bogle I will send him the names.

In the interest of the FIUV (or FIUM?), the climate on the even of the General Assembly is too poisonous.

Based on many arguments that I see, there are a number of questions that need to be answered:

First thing - why now, on the even of the votation?

Second thing - is what is happening the same as happened when the Austrian President was forced to resign - reading the leakage of Cardinal  Castrillon Hoyos?

Third thing - is it a valid thing to exclude Counsellors from votation on suspension - I don't understand why President Bogle excludes them.

Today it's Tom and Leo. Tomorrow it can be anyone preceived to be against the administarion of Bogle.

CONCLUSION - in the interest of the FIUV  my suggestion is that both President and Secretary resign and an ad hoc Committee works on the General Assembly. Ideally, a provisional committee takes over until the GA - and the GA is postponed.

In these circuмstances, would it make sense that insetad of a GA - FIUV aims for an Extraodrinary GA?

With hope of a peaceful solution,

Augustine Linst (next time write my surname correctly Mr Bogle when mentioning me with Counsellors)

  • I saw elsewhere in this Forum information about the new Council.

As member of Una Voce Terra Australis, :D I am proud to see that Alanis wins again, against Bogle.

The FIUV is now in good hands.
