  • It came to my attention that we needed a new sub-forum.

One symptom of "We need a new sub-forum" is finding a whole bunch of threads on a given topic in a group like "General Discussion".

Since General Discussion should be MOSTLY ...well, general discussion... I decided we needed a new sub-forum to keep this message board well-organized.

I'm sure many of you will notice the topic of this sub-forum, and might have questions/concerns. I wanted to address those concerns here.

First, I'm not making any new rules. You can discuss whatever you want, and I'm not going to move every thread in here that "goes sedevacantist" like other fora have done in the past. (Remember the Indult vs. SSPX sub-forum?) Topics like the Papacy (and the occupancy thereof) can be far-reaching and touch on many other issues -- which makes the topic come up a LOT under many different circuмstances. It can be annoying to add to a topic, and then discover later on that you "tainted" the subject and got it moved to the "controversy jail" as it were.

So I won't be doing that.

I just want Sedevacantist discussion to have its own area, for four main reasons:

    A) A good message board should be well organized so that topics of interest are easy to find.

    B) Those who participate in discussions on this topic will be able to find threads of interest much more easily -- they will be all in one place, with no "General Discussion" posts to clutter it up.

    C) Some readers, frankly, are not interested in (or positively dislike) all discussion of Sedevacantism. Likewise, there are some who aren't interested in following the Great Depression II. In both cases, that should be their choice.

    D) If the main forum of Cathinfo -- General Discussion -- is filled with mostly posts Sedevacantist in nature, it might lead new visitors to think that this is a Sedevacantist message board. Now that would be misleading, since that is not the case.

Cathinfo is a message board for all Traditional Catholics, particularly those serious about their Faith.

    In Christ,

    Matthew

  • What happens to those who talk about Sedevacantism outside this subfora?

  • A giant, soy-eating, and masonic Jew will leap through your window and eat your left foot.

  • I already answered it above -- but the answer to your question is "nothing".

If there were a bunch of threads in the wrong place, I might move some of them in the interest of maintaining an orderly (well-sorted, easy to find things) forum -- but that's nothing new.

Just a sub-forum -- nothing more. For the benefit of all parties involved -- including the sedevacantist members of Cathinfo.

  • Apparently, my suggestion for the punishment is being ignored by ChantCD.  How unfortunate... =P

  • Well, it would involve employing countless giant, soy-eating, masonic Jews, who were constantly at the ready outside each of our homes (or at least outside the homes of those of us who are most likely to offend).  It is just not practical, especially if some or most of us use the computer in a room that is on the second story.  Sad but true.

  • Yes, I suppose.

Perhaps, we could hire some Buddhist ninjas instead?

  • Don't need to debate with me... but I agree that the low resolution, once reduced in size, does not really afford much of a personality. I did that image because of the technical challenges it afforded me.

This is why I did  a second one.  That might look better once reduced in size.

If you have other ideas, that requires some skills (other then just cropping that is) please feel free to submit them, and I will try my best.

  • I don't like Mexico's current flag, even with the Virgin in the center.

I then misunderstood then when you wrote...

I got it.  Before the Masons put that Aztec pagan symbol of the eagle eating the serpent on the cactus on Mexico's flag, the Virgen de Guadalupe was on it. So basically (if you'd be so kind Vandaler) I'd like an avatar of Mexico's flag as it used to be.

I thought you wanted the "monstruosity" replaced with the original Virgen de Guadalupe.

  • Since poor old Guy seems dead in the water...............
The good thing about the flag is that this site allows the height and width to be altered so the flag won't look all squashed up. I did it with my avatar to give it the dimentions of the original picture.

That was before someone told me that not even the green and red were on the original flag with the Virgin.

You're reading too early into the conversation Vandaler.

Guy Fawkes?  He may be dead in the water, he may not.
