new sspx and fatima video

    • It is too bad we are so attached to our life-like three dimensional statues.  Because, the russian orthodox(and all orthodox for that matter) reject life like three dimensional statues.  So, events like this really do not bring tradition and russians closer together.  And, isn't that supposed to be the end goal?  Or, are we sentenced to and satisfied with a pursuit being the end reminiscent of the old testament?

    And, on a side note, do you think the sspx hires some special professional voice narrator for these videos?

    You're repeating yourself. (I could say it's too bad PG doesn't bother to proof-read his posts but why bother?)

    What's the big deal? The Western Church makes use of 3-dimensional statues while the Eastern Church uses 2-dimensional icons. So what? Each has its place, without which there would be something missing. The Russians don't hold it against the West for having a different tradition any more than the West holds it against the East for having a different tradition. What's the problem? Or is there actually no problem and you're trying to create one?

    So what if the SSPX hires a professional speaker to voice over the first two minutes. 
    Do you have a problem with a voice well done? 
    Do you have some kind of problem with excellence?

    • So is PG saying that Western Catholics need to be more like the Eastern Orthodox?

    Why are 3-dimensional statues a bad thing?  

    And, no, the goal is not to bring "tradition and russians closer together".  The goal is for the Russians to convert to the Catholic Faith.  To do that, they can't "reject" legitimate images, but they don't have to put them in their Churches either since there is nothing at all wrong with Eastern Icons even though most Catholic churches don't have them on display.  This is why the Catholic Church is so diverse and able to encompass both Eastern and Western spirituality.
