  • I've heard the revised edition is not as good as the original.

Does anyone have any insight into the changes?

    Thanks.

Who made the revisions? Who publised the revised version?

It's not another book that TAN messed with is it?

I have seen examples. Can't remember titles right now. Thomas Nelson would add comments and alter passages that he thought needed altering to fit with his outlook.

Many trads who have been around for a while will know will know about it.

That some of the changes after V2 are ok. I know that sometimes he disclosed he had made changes, but when one says something is edited or revised and does not show exactly what has been revised and where it has been revised that leaves people in the dark as to what the real author wrote and what Thomas Nelson wrote.

I have seen originals of books and the corresponding Tan reprints which differed.

Do Angelus press disclose who the individual or individuals are that made the revisions, and also what has been changed?

  • There was an AQ thread that discussed it. Davies himself had apparently made some revisions before he died he never completed that were more tame than his original. Angelus added these revisions to their new printing.
