  • It seems to be on Amazon and Ebay.  But not on the Fr. Wathen website?

  • Has the book a title and an author? That would be helpful!

  • Can't find the link to it either in Amazon or Ebay.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • With all of the Nativity scenes starting to be put out this season I often find myself thinking of something Fr. Wathen wrote in TGS:

    Quote
As Mary and Joseph sought to protect their innocent Son from Herod, so we are all bound to protect and honor the Most Blessed Sacrament. We are not free merely not to profane it ourselves, but duty-bound to "throw our own bodies over it," as it were, to protect it from the least irreverence, to risk whatever consequences in the effort, and consider ourselves extremely blessed if we are called upon to do such a thing. There is simply nothing as holy and wonderful as the Mass.
    .

It would be a worthy prayer intention to beseech God to inspire someone who possesses the necessary talents with a desire to write biographies of Fr. Wathen and Fr. Feeney.
"The Blessed Eucharist means nothing to a man who thinks other people can get along without It. The Blessed Eucharist means nothing to a communicant who thinks he needs It but someone else does not. The Blessed Eucharist means nothing to a communicant who offers others any charity ahead of this Charity of the Bread of Life." -Fr. Leonard Feeney, Bread of Life

  • Sorry for this delay - have looked into it further.  The book will eventually be available on EBAY (not Amazon), and also on the Fr. Wathen website once the payment mechanism there is fixed.

The book is called Thou Art a Priest Forever, the Life of Father James F. Wathen - Faithful Priest and Patriot, Preserver and Defender of the True Mass.  It is by John H. Wathen, an older brother who spent some time in the same seminary as Fr. Wathen, and who has been a traditionalist for a few years now.

    .
For sale:  A newly printed book, "Thou Art a Priest Forever - The life of Fr James Fr Wathen."

    Book Details:

In 1971, amidst the chaos and confusion wrought by the Second Vatican Council and the advent of the New Mass, faithful Catholics craved clarity and direction.  The voice of Fr Wathen resonated with early clarity for all catholics to reject the changes wrought by the revolutionary Vatican II council.

This book is a multi-faceted tribute to the late Fr Wathen (born 1932, ordained 1958, died 2006), compiled by his brother, John.  It covers Father's road to the priesthood and his diocesan experience during the revolutionary 60s.  It also contains a montage of memories from Fr's siblings, his grateful flock and friends.  There are also a few excerpts from Fr Wathen's many writings.

Father Wathen's wit, wisdom and dedication to the cause of Catholicism shine forth in a way that will be appreciated by both those who never met him, and those who miss him dearly.

    Softcover.  325 pages

Just noticed this in other available books:
    .
Who Shall Ascend? Volume II: Intra Ecclesiam Conciliariam Nulla Salus (Inside the Vatican 2 Church there is No Salvation).
Fr James F Wathen's comprehensive analysis of what has happened to the Church in the past century, and why Catholics who are serious about their faith need to reject the errors, both implicit and explicit, of the post Vatican II church.

Also present is a sound rebuttal of the aberrant social structures which plague the world today, particularly in the fields of economics and social order, which problems have their root in the Freemasonic philosophies of the French Revolution and are still flourishing today.

--This book is in softcover form.  Hardback is also available.  See all my items for sale, for the full list of Fr's books.  I am selling these books on behalf of Fr Wathen's website.  If you would like to order a large quantity, please contact me for potential discounts..--

Fr Wathen died in 2006.  Please pray for the repose of his soul and for all the Faithful Departed in Purgatory... Eternal Rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.  May they rest in peace.  Amen.

[How often do you see that on eBay?]

Intra Ecclesiam Conciliariam Nulla Salus -- that takes a lot of nerve to say.

  • More than half way through it and I can say that it is most definitely well worth the few dollars.
