Do try to get a copy of Coomaraswamy. It's easy reading.

Ironically enough, tonight, the Society bookstore is closing down, and they sold off their books for half price.  I picked Coomaraswamy's book up before I came home to read your recommendation of it.  I just now realized that.

Look forward to the book, though, I won't be able to read it much until after my boards.

...Yet my mentally retarded older brother knew it was wrong from the very start. ...

Nadir, would you mind telling us the story?

My brother was physically and mentally affected by a cerebral haemorrhage at birth. My parents encouraged as much independence as he was capable of. At 2 years of age he knew the mysteries of the Rosary, even though he was still unable to speak. My Mum would put them out of turn to test him and he always protested at that. He learnt the Latin responses in the hope of being an altar boy, but he had trouble to carry the book because of paralysis of his left arm. He took himself off the early morning Mass one Sunday, and he came home looking dejected. His first words were: Mum, they've changed the Mass. I believe it was the first day the NO was "celebrated".
