France was/is officially anti-Church. Did he read modernist literature in the 40s -50s.? that was already creeping in the Church, that he presumed genuine? He said re. those that don't even know about the Catholic Church and yet can be members of the Church: <this is what the Church teaches.>

God acts with souls SUBJECTIVELY, and his ways are not our ways.
