Welcome. You will find a lot of these subjects here on Cathinfo. You can find old threads by category.

May I suggest the wonderful website of the Dominicans in Avrille for good articles a la "Resistance", the Archbishop and the SSPX.

https://dominicansavrille.us/

Also, I second checking out the links already mentioned above. VCR (non possumus blog), catalog of changes SSPX/Resistance, etc.

For info on the J*ws, you might want to check out some books and articles in the LIBRARY section of this site. It's important to understand their role in the "mystery of history." And no, antisemitism is not what the world says it is. Traditional Catholics/SSPX are not "antisemitic haters" but rather, they understand the truth about them. The true church is the biggest champion in praying for their conversion which is what must needs happen before the end of the world.... Rather the conciliar church is their conspirator. Look at how JPII visited
Auschwitz and called it the new calvary. Look at how Francis' first act as pope after he said "ok ok is the show over yet?" was to call the chief Rabbi in Rome and say we shall work together my comrade.. etc. ... interesting hidden truths. You can look at WWII history to see what really happened with the enslavement of Germany and the reaction, albeit not good was not as the victors wrote the history. Communion spreading, Russia spreading her errors, etc.

God bless

Yes I second all that.

Welcome  plusdefender to Cath Info !

It is important to understand GREC [Groupe de Réflexion Entre Catholiques].

Group of Reflection among Catholics (GREC).

It was directly involved with the "Branding" of neoSSPX, and lessening the fight against modernist Rome.

Who are the participants in the GREC?

The faithful follow the priests of the SSPX when they are faithful to the fight of Tradition. The GREC is a commitment to modernist heresy. Commitment so much the more guilty because it has been guarded with the utmost discretion.

Father Lelong evokes:
- Father du Chalard, resident in Rome, “does not fail to provide support for the Grec , was as  "discreet as he was attentive”" (p. 24)

Father Lorans contributed “decisively to the creation and then to give life to our own Group of Reflection among Catholics” (p. 24). He is (was) the official spokesperson for the SSPX, in charge of communications!

- The Father de la Roque, theologian who will congratulate himself noisily re: the Motu Proprio abrogating the Tridentine Mass as the ordinary form of the Latin liturgy.

-The Father Célier, author of the book ‘Benedict XVI and the Traditionalists’, edited and with the preface of a Freemason of the Grand Lodge of France; “in charge of the study of doctrinal issues within the District of France of the SSPX” (p.64)

Father Troadec, responsible for the formation of the priests!

Father Ribeton of the St. Peter's Fraternity. The Father Lelong is happy to see “the good relations that exist between the Superior of the district of France of the Fraternity of Saint Peter with the Superior from the District of France of the SSPX” (p. 37)

-Jacques Régis du Cray (Journalist of Fideliter),

- Luc Perrin

- etc.

Did the GREC influence?

We have already pointed out that the facts happened like the GREC predicted it. This is not difficult since behind the GREC we saw that Rome was there,  and Menzingen.

  Let's quote other facts.
The GREC wishes that « those responsible for this Society (SSPX) cease statements and controversial articles criticizing the Holy See.» This was the counterpart for the lifting of the excommunications. This is how Monsignor Fellay will shut up all criticism concerning the Roman scandals (Assisi III) but asking for the freedom to criticize !

Instead, if the council is rejected, the members of the SSPX belonging to the GREC evoke a problem of interpretation. Father Aulagnier demonstrates justly (p. 103) that the ’hermeneutics of the continuity’ of Benedict XVI and the expression ‘The Light of the Tradition’ are two equivalent expressions. Thus, Monsignor Fellay will be able to claim that he accepts the Second Vatican Council in the light of the Tradition. With this light, everything becomes acceptable; and will even accept the new Code of Canon Law - and the New Mass becomes legitimate.

The GREC created a theological group comprising others, to Father Charles Morerod, « appointed by Cardinal Ratzinger for informal discussions » and Father de la Roque. These are the priests Rome will choose for official discussions.

Antidote : Monsignor Lefebvre is against the ecuмenism

With modernism, which is a conciliar heresy, a variant of Protestantism, we are talking about ecuмenism as they recalled the founders of the GREC. The book of Father Rioult, The Impossible Reconciliation, gives some indications condemning this new Ecuмenist  SSPX :

« I waited until June 5 to write to the Pope: - « I'm sorry, but we can't understand each other. You people don't have the same goal as we do. Making an agreement, your goal is take us to the council. Mine on the contrary is being able to stay out of the Council and its influences » Monsignor Lefebvre, Flavigny, December 1988.

One argument to justify the GREC is the need to talk to get to know each other better. As if it were difficult to know the positions of the SSPX, being enough to read the books and publications of the last 40 years. This argument is typically modernist: What counts is the encounter of Subjectivities to build bridges together. This is what Monsignor Lefebvre  said:

“If you do not accept the Doctrine of your predecessors, it is useless to speak. As long as you do not accept to reform the council by considering the doctrine of the Popes who preceded them, there is no dialogue possible. It's useless”. (Fideliter #66)

The conduct to be followed by the faithful and ‘a fortiori’ by the priests are as follows: “It is a strict duty for every priest (and all the faithful) who wants to remain Catholic, to separate themselves from this conciliar Church.” Monsignor Lefebvre, Spiritual Itinerary.

You can talk not only of betrayal but of grave sin against the faith by the clerics who participated in the GREC. This is why this operation has certainly been carried in discretion for 15 years. The children of light do not hide the virtuous actions.

Conclusion

The GREC was born in 1997. It's lasted about 15 years. But before that, it was in germ. Father Aulagnier evokes (p. 107) colloquiums from 1992, with Dom Lesquen, conciliar priest who will be of the founders of the GREC. At that time, we find around  Father Aulagnier and Dom Lesquen, Frs. Célier, Lorans, Boivin, Boubée, Laisney. Most of them will meet in the GREC. Since then, it was about “accepting the council in the light of Tradition” (p. 108)

Father Aulagnier,  the priest who adhered by agreement with the modernists,  is a good lesson for the faithful tempted to have confidence: In this crisis, you don’t have to be confident, he was Superior of District of France and Assistant Superior General! But let's admit that Father Aulagnier, by signing the ‘I agree’, it was logical with his way of thinking.
As for Monsignor Fellay, he waits for the favorable moment, his goal being to obtain the agreement “with a great part of the priests and the faithful of the SSPX” (p. 52)

Communiqué of the Group of Reflection among Catholics (GREC).
Paris, 29 January 2009

“The Group of Reflection Between Catholics (GREC) gives thanks for the lifting of the excommunications of the four bishops of the Priestly Society of St. Pius X, generously decided by the Holy Father and promulgated on January 24, 2009. (note the word 'generously')
Joyfully rejoice in the SSPX. But it rejoices above all for the Church, which is in need more than ever, as Pope Benedict XVI said in Lourdes, of all his children in the field of the apostolate.
(Note that the Church needs all her children, both the modernists and the Traditionalists)
...This measure serves to strengthen the internal unity and still MORE charity.”
(Note that the unity of the Church is no longer founded on the Truth of the Catholic faith. ...',

There is truth to what you speak. In fact, I very much agree with what you have said about the false saint and antipope John Paul II. As well as, Francis. Both are clearly works of the Devil trying to destroy the Church by erecting a Counter-Church. I have issues with the SSPX and some of their recent statements (not regarding their "schismatic" consecrations - which are actually just lies by the Devil's helper(s), antipope Leo and company), which are blatantly heretical. Despite this, the SSPX still promotes things that are true. They have spoken correctly on the Jews. They have preserved tradition, mostly; and to varying degrees. Archbishop Lefebvre correctly rejected Vatican II and the false ecuмenism spread throughout the ensuing rise of the Vatican II counter-church. Despite this, unfortunately, he still professed a belief in the idea that false religions can save, a heresy:

"Evidently, certain distinctions must be made. Souls can be saved in a religion other than the Catholic religion (Protestantism, Islam, Buddhism, etc.), but not by this religion." Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, Against the Heresies

Worse, and more clear of this profession is Fr. Schmidberger's testimony:

"Ladies and gentlemen, it is clear that the followers of other religions can be saved under certain conditions, that is to say, if they are in invincible error." Fr. Franz Schmidberger, Time Bombs of the Second Vatican Council

Fr. Schmidberger clearly states and endorses the heretical doctrine of "invincible ignorance" and ON TOP OF THAT endorses the heretical error of false-religions can save!...

In a conference to MJCF (Mouvement des Jeunes Catholiques Français) Mov't of French Cath. Youth), +L said that when he entered the Seminary in Rome, he had never even heard about the word 'encyclical', from popes!
France was/is officially anti-Church. Did he read modernist literature in the 40s -50s.? that was already creeping in the Church, that he presumed genuine? He said re. those that don't even know about the Catholic Church and yet can be members of the Church: <this is what the Church teaches.>

Having said that, EENS, according to FR. Greg Hesse, is to be read as an OBJECTIVE teaching: the Norm. The Rule. Rules have exceptions."Exceptions prove the Rule"
God acts with souls SUBJECTIVELY, and his ways are not our ways.
Our Lady appeared to a non-practicing prisoner on death row, (posted on CI) in the States, and very great graces and knowledge he received, even before his baptism.
We are not to judge, and only those accomplishing God's will enter paradise.
Fr. Ed MacDonald wrote about today's Gospel, that we must  not squander the graces we receive, but we should increase our holiness: keep away from cell phones and internet.
