I am not 100% in the know, as where to write these questions. To whomever decides to take this up, I thank you ahead of time. This is my first post and I am new, so excuse any hiccups in my ways. I will ask my questions and would to get some thoughts - though, I am sure many here are already familiar with these kinds of questions. I will make this short, perhaps clarifying if necessary below. Thanks. Note: I am also new to 'Traditionalist Catholicism', so bear with me, please.
What is the consensus, here, on:
I. The SSPX
II. The FSSP
III. The Jews/The 'Jєωιѕн Question'/Israel/"Theological Zionism", or "Theological Philo-semitism"/The definition of "antisemitism"
This is broad, and to clear some confusion that may arise, specifically on: The FSSP, does anybody here actually have any respect for them? I personally attend an FSSP parish and think very highly of the Priests there, as well as have a lot of respect, in particular, for Fr. Vince Huber of Christ the King. Regarding the Jєωιѕн stuff, I mostly ask to clarify an understanding of how to defend the continuity and relations pertaining to the Church's long-standing view of the Jews (i.e. that they did, in fact, kill Christ (cf. Mt. 27), as well as do I just ignore Nostra Aetate? I don't really like a lot of the Vatican II docuмents and believe this lousy ecuмenism is destroying the Church, as we have seen for the past 60 years.) I also notice a tendency of some Catholics, even Traditionalist ones, of giving praise to the Jews; citing ecuмenism or 'unifying ends'... How do I defend against this non-sense? I am just so tired of hearing the blatant theological liberalism, heavy ecuмenism and Judaizer-sympathies.
As I said, this may be an inappropriate mis-use of this forum... maybe there is some sort of 'apologetics' category that I am not aware of? Thanks. God bless!
