  • This made mainstream news today.  The scandal  and the stench  coming from harlot Rome is unbearable!  Who, as a true Catholic wants to be associated with this Harlot Church, or its head?

    Some snapshots from the web:

facebook ~ SAVE A CHILD, SHOOT A PEDAFILE!!! 1520 likes. Pedafile is spelled pedophile, but unfortunately facebook wouldn't allow "shoot a pedophile"

Urban Dictionary ~ pedifile:   How you spell pedophile if you are poor at spelling.
    BadSpeller2008: I think Ron is a pedifile  --  PersonofAverageIntelligence123: I think you're an idiot.

Another site ~ Or Is It Paedophile? Let's clear up one common question: how do you spell it? Common misspellings are “pedifile”, “pedofile”, “pediphile”, and “pedaphile”.

They forgot one.  Type "pedafile" into a search engine and see all the hits.  It might not even suggest an alternative with "Did you mean:  pedophile?"

The Internet gets overrun by misspelling a word when tens of thousands of times the misspelled word is posted.  This word, pedophile (or paedophile, really), is now mentioned by far too many people who don't really know what they're talking about.

Not infrequently, someone will use the word pedophile when they are thinking about a pederast, but they just don't have sufficient vocabulary to express themselves -- or, alternatively, they just want to sell copy, and they know that if their readership feels inadequate reading words they don't know, then they won't buy next week's issue.

As for the harlot, as in the Apocalypse of St. John, take a look at any Euro, that is, the money.  You will see there the pagan goddess Europa, sitting on a bull, just as she does in the Apocalypse.  Europa is the pagan deity that embodies the vices of greed, licentiousness, lust, coveteousness, impurity, apostasy and infidelity.  Sound like fun?  She rides the beast of the Apocalypse, drunk on wine which is the blood of the saints of God.  Sound like fun?  The new European union is the fulfillment of prophesy. The corruption of the best is the worst.  Once-Catholic Europe has returned to its former paganism, and statues of Europa are being installed in various places. The dog returns to its vomit.  Sound like fun?

So it's not just the pope, and it's not just the Vatican, although it's pretty depressing to see that corruption now reaches into such places.

Even protestants shudder with horror at the thought that the Catholic Church may have sunk into depravity.

The U.N. report also denounced the Holy See for its attitudes toward ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity, contraception and abortion.

Don't that make a lot of sense?  How about -- what do you expect when they won't allow priests to marry?

When Judas Iscariot led the soldiers to capture Jesus in the Garden of Olives, was Judas therefore no longer an Apostle?

When they took Jesus to be tried, they went first to the house of Annas, who had abdicated (illegally, like Benedict XVI did -- that is, he was not supposed to do so, but he abused his power to do so, legitimately), and then they took Him to the high priest Caiphas, who then condemned Our Lord.  Did that mean that Caiphas was no longer the high priest?

When Our Lord was taken to the Roman praetorium for his public mocking, St. Peter, the Pope, denied Him three times.  Did that mean that St. Peter was no longer pope?  Or does it mean that he could never have been pope in the first place, because he was a heretic?

How many times in the history of the Church has the standing pope taught heresy?  Can you honestly say you are unaware that this has happened?  Well, it has.  But how many of those times has the Church therefore declared that he was no longer pope at that point?  Maybe that's why you can't answer the question.  You just don't want to know.

    Neil,
When St. Peter denied Our Lord three times he was not yet pope. He had the promise from Our Lord that he will be pope, but he did not receive jurisdiction until after Jesus' resurrection.

    Vatican Council I:
    Quote

    Chapter 1
On the institution of the apostolic primacy in blessed Peter

    1. We teach and declare that, according to the gospel evidence, a primacy of jurisdiction over the whole Church of God was immediately and directly promised to the blessed apostle Peter and conferred on him by Christ the lord.

    2. It was to Simon alone, to whom he had already said You shall be called Cephas [42], that the Lord, after his confession, You are the Christ, the son of the living God, spoke these words:

Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the underworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven [43] .

    3. And it was to Peter alone that Jesus, after his resurrection, confided the jurisdiction of Supreme Pastor and ruler of his whole fold, saying:
Feed my lambs, feed my sheep [44].

    4. To this absolutely manifest teaching of the Sacred Scriptures, as it has always been understood by the Catholic Church, are clearly opposed the distorted opinions of those who misrepresent the form of government which Christ the lord established in his Church and deny that Peter, in preference to the rest of the apostles, taken singly or collectively, was endowed by Christ with a true and proper primacy of jurisdiction.

    5. The same may be said of those who assert that this primacy was not conferred immediately and directly on blessed Peter himself, but rather on the Church, and that it was through the Church that it was transmitted to him in his capacity as her minister.

    6. Therefore, if anyone says that blessed Peter the apostle was not appointed by Christ the lord as prince of all the apostles and visible head of the whole Church militant; or that it was a primacy of honor only and not one of true and proper jurisdiction that he directly and immediately received from our lord Jesus Christ himself: let him be anathema.

Indeed. It also basically negates their report. ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity is the problem.

I am assuming they are referring to sacramental confession in that paragraph where they talked about not being able to report an offender for fear of excommunication. Obviously they do not know, or do not want to alert their readers about the nature of the sacrament. As bad as this whole fiasco is, they managed to make it sound even worse.

And what can one say about their word choice. The U.N. does not like certain 'attitudes" the Holy See has? What a feminized weasel word. It's doctrine. The Church does not run on feelings or attitudes.

  • I saw this news story on one of the news channels in St. Louis.  It spoke of the Vatican and how the Diocese of St. Louis would need to reveal the names of the pedophile priests.  I watched as a disinterested spectator.

But this morning I was thinking about how no one in a position of authority was being led out in handcuffs nor were any dollar amounts listed in fines.  Even the UN gives the Vatican until 2016 or 2017 to respond to their report.

    So, no real action.

I'm no fan of the novus ordo and I would probably throw a big house party if the Diocese of St. Louis became the 12th diocese in the U.S. to declare bankruptcy but since nothing really new was highlighted, then what was the point?

What was the point in all these media outlets basicly reading from the same talking points?

One big point and it's timely:  To embarrass the Vatican (which so many in the world think is the Catholic Church).

A second bigger point is that all these pathetic and weak and embarrassing dioceses out there are now going to have little banners in all the bulletins and in all the websites advertising therapy for people who have been abused by priests (I know the novus ordo priests are actually presiders of the assembly and they primarily prance around in the rainbow attired long skirts but the vast majority of Americans don't know this!)  These constant advertisements on novus ordo websites and bulletins give the impression that these priests are completely untrustworthy and must be watched.  Again, I'm no fan of the novus ordo but the percentage of ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ priests who can't keep their hands off the younger teenage boys is very low, like 1 in 1000 low.

I am wondering why Cardinal Mahoney isn't being led out of his office in handcuffs and splashed on the evening news.  He really did move molesting presiders from location to location to avoid detection.  The truly guilty aren't being called on it and the rest are having a shadow of suspicion thrown over them.

So, in short (although this post is long) the whole purpose and point of the media and the UN report was to publicly embarrass the Vatican.

Oh yes, I would also be very happy if the Diocese of Belleville (a truly wretched diocese) were to declare bankruptcy.
