  • My grandmother is 91 years old. She has never heard of the terms Novus Ordo, SSPX, Sedevacantism. She says the Rosary with EWTN every day, listens to the daily Mass with them. Watches all of the Popecasts from Rome with them.

Yesterday, she confessed to me that she has been having sinful thoughts. What are these thoughts? She does not believe Benedict is the true Pope. I have never spoken to her about this topic, she is to old and believes what she believes. Grew up with the Baltimore Cathechism, simple.
I told her she was not sinning at all and that the Grace from her Baptism in the True Faith gave her the Light to recognize the pretenders and the false faith.

Be simple and trust like a child.

  • Das ist WUNDER-BAR!!!  And I wasn't even there ramming s.v. down her throat!  I will pray for you and your grannie, thanking God for this great grace.  Btw, I just visited the "diabolically sedevacantist" Fr. Stepanich, who is also 91 years young.  What a delight it is to visit with such a staunch defender of the Holy Faith, and an ardent lover of Our Blessed Mother.

  • Fr. Stepanich's story is in this issue of The Four Marks.  He is a white martyr, if you ask me, and his story (along with that of Sr.s Yvonne and Olive) is very inspiring.  If I knew how to work this scanner, I would post it.

  • I just read the story about Fr. Stepanich myself. When what to my wondering eyes should appear but Fr. was for a little while able to say Mass at the Church that I currently attend. It is indeed a small world. Funny thing is that today neither he nor I would be welcomed if the knew that I am a closet sede. What will it take for everyone to realize a wolf in Popes clothing when they see one?

  • Do we have a lot of sedes on this site?  I assume it is allowed to speak of it on here unlike on FE?

  • Indeed, it is permitted.  Haven't been keeping up with things around here, I take it?  Haha.

  • Yes, it is allowed here.

This is a forum for all serious Traditional Catholics, and heaven knows we need a good Catholic forum where one is allowed to talk (and not be censored, muffled, etc.)

I know that "error has no rights", which is why most fora are selective about which kind of Traditional Catholics they "allow".

But as I see it, we are living in very confusing times, and the magnitude of the current Crisis in the Church has no precedent.

No, not the Arian heresy, nor the Great Schism was as severe as the crisis we are living in today.

There was a lot of confusion then -- and even more confusion now.

    In Christ,

    Matthew

Yes, only the rosary and, when she can, an SSPX Mass sustain the spiritual life of my grandma, roughly 90 years old, too. Deo gratias for the rosary!
