  • This is a good video.

But Voris, while attacking the lack of leadership of bishops still refuses to lay the blame where it belongs- lack of papal leadership.

    Research on young Catholics 18-25:

    0% devout
    29% engaged
    15% nominal
    27% estranged
    12% switchers
    17% apostates

Of course the Church will reverse this by making incompetent dysfunctional popes into canonized saints- that must be the solution. Oh, let's redistribute wealth, say gαys are okay, and that atheists go to heaven.

Forget the truth, it is just an opinion.

  • Clearly, the survey Voris discusses here spoke to no traditional Catholics.

  • Fruits of the "New Evangelization".

Voris is obviously a conscious (perhaps paid) gatekeeper.

He's not "chicken"; he knows exactly what he's doing.

Trads are probably about 1-3% of the entire Catholic world. That's a very conservative guess, by the way. We're a very small part.

I wasn't making a judgment, just stating a fact.  Had they spoken to a few traditional Catholic young adults they would have found a few "devout" Catholics.

Well, then again, maybe not.  If they were judging "devout" concerning the adherence to Catholic doctrine by Conciliar standards, I guess they would have concluded that traditional Catholic youths don't accept many doctrines, such as, ecuмenism, universal salvation, religious liberty, the new mass, etc., etc., etc.

You are right, he does know what he is doing.

You know and I know that there is not a single action of Pope Francis that Voris could possibly approve of.

The fact is Voris will not criticize the Pope by name because he is chicken his supporters will stop bankrolling his cruises and tours of Europe and the Holy Land.

Instead of attacking the Pope, he attacks those who put themselves in the libtard headlights on forums like this one.

Trads are far less than 1 percent. If I had to guess, I would guess one twentieth of one percent. If there are about a billion "Catholics" that means there are five hundred thousand trads. (I hope my math is right.)

  • I once had hopes for MV.  Now I see he's a complete and utter joke.

Oh, I'm sure there's much more than that.  I don't know that I'd go so far to say there's ten million, but there must at least be a million.

Each established mission/chapel averages out to probably two hundred people (this accounts for large missions like St. Mary's as well as the smaller ones where there are 20-50 people).  In the US, the SSPX alone has more than fifty locations, which would be a hundred thousand just right there.  Factor in CMRI, SSPV, Resistance and other locations within the US and just in the US you probably have 250-500 thousand.  And then there's the rest of the world.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

Because he doesn't bash the pope?

I for one don't like the pope but I wonder how many bishops would actually pay attention to what the pope has to say.

If the pope said to the bishops that we were to receive Holy Communion only  on the tongue do you think that would happen?  I don't.

I don't think the popes of today have a fraction of the influence they once had as of old.

I am not sure but I think that MV once said that who would want to join the church if it's leader was constantly being bashed and that is why he doesn't do it.  My words paraphrasing what I think he said.

You may be right. My guess of a half a million was a guess and not a researched answer. Either way there are still very few of us. Even if there were ten million of us that would still be only 1 percent of the people who call themselves Catholic.

Here is the problem with you saying that you wonder how many bishops would pay attention to the pope, the pope has the authority to remove them and excommunicate them. Influence is besides the point The bishops swore an oath to be obedient so if they are not ?

What you are admitting is that the pope either is a poor leader or is part of it.

As far as if people would want to join or not ?- So what, all that matters is Jesus and Jesus had high standards and was more interested in the quality of His followers than the quantity. He told us to separate the weeds from the wheat and to burn the wheat.
