  • Glad he covered it. But he'll still excuse matters around this pope himself.

  • Michael Voris is an intellectually dishonest fraud.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

I'm not surprised to see Voris prattle through some rather obscure positives that he claims Francis has supported, albeit without any references or footnotes so how can we check him ― and likewise mounts a mini-assault on those who would dare claim this Gwuerl-in move is something to be lauded.

But it's conspicuous as usual, that the focus is on one big glaring PROBLEM move while all the other problem moves are entirely ignored.

He scrapes the barrel bottom to dredge up the APPEARANCE of orthodoxy, while he only touches on ONE of the much more numerous items of glaring Liberalism.

It is simply a very BIASED report and editorial, in a word, POLLYANNA.

Call him Michael Pollyanna Voris from now on, because that's his M.O. of choice.

  • I thought it was funny when Michael Voris preached against calumny and detraction against Corapi. Michael Voris is a drama queen.

But I like him because he dispenses a lot of information and goes after libtard clergy. But that does not mean he will ever see a dime of my money.

Yeah, notice how Voris says Francis is siding with the lunatics ? He did not come right out and say Francis was a lunatic himself.

  • I don't get what all the concern is about.

Can anyone say what difference exactly Cardinal Burke as made for the defense or betterment of the faith?

Sodomites within and without the Church still moved forward with impunity while Burke was in charge, same with contraception, abortion, adultery, annulments, Assisi, and on and on and on - I mean other than Burke saying the occasional Catholic thing, he has not been a voice for the Church anymore than any other member of the NO hierarchy - so who cares if they demoted(?) him.

I don't get what all the fuss is about.

This is what I thought when I first heard the news.  Though Burke does make a noise that sounds Catholics every once in a while that is loud enough to make the news while the news Wuerl makes in invariably anti-Catholic, each new bishops we hear about seems to be just as liberal and anti-Catholic as the rest.

So, can anyone point to the truly Catholic bishops that we have in the United States that Burke has had a hand in installing?  How about the ones who, like himself, make a Catholic noise on occasion?

Voris tells us in that video that he was talking with "two solid bishops" who were dismayed at the news.  Who are these "solid" bishops and...quite frankly...what in the world is a "solid" bishop?  He certainly wasn't talking with Bishop Williamson or Bishop Pivarunas.  I can't really imagine that there are any Conciliar bishops in the United States (or probably in the entire world) that aren't pretty much made of jello:  They wobble a lot and seem to have form, but when any trial comes, they can be shaped to fit any mold.

I think Burke is thought of as someone who at least has some semblance of Catholic Tradition and Law.  Despite whatever influence he has as "Judge" the fact of the matter is his hands are tied.  I think there is some hope (albeit probably false) in conservative Catholic circles that if he were pope things would be different.

For those who are intellectually honest, I think they are beginning to wake up that his removal points to a very different road for the Conciliar Church...now and in the future.  the move isn't so much about him, but about who replaced him and the fact that Francis selected him.

But I absolutely see what you (and others) are saying.  Benedict XVI used to have a reputation like Burke ...and look how that turned out when he took the title of pope.

I would like to think that someone like Burke could have a "aha" moment and be a catalyst for changes.  Not sure how and what that would look like, but if not someone like him, who is going to do it?

I used to think that Voris disabled comments because he was above the frey or tired of the disgusting atheists no matter how intellectual they argue eventually go to some disgusting vile sɛҳuąƖ insult like some demon suddenly popping out of them and announcing itself. Or just the fact he did not like criticism.

It could be a little of all of those things.

But I think the main reason he disabled comments is because of his bottom line. Okay, so he has a program and gives the news. But does he have to give the news from Rome or Spain ? Notice this video starts out promoting his latest cruise ?

You hit the nail on the head here, albeit, inadvertently.  Burke really is thought to be traditional in many respects, just as Ratzinger was considered the great friend of tradition by The Remnant and others.

People such as these have a façade of tradition--they seem to like the "smells and bells" of tradition.  I think they actually recognize that there is strength in tradition.  They participate in traditional liturgies, or, in Ratzinger's case, traditional-appearing liturgies, i.e., the "reform of the reform" kind of liturgies.  But the core principles behind their actions are those of the Revolution.

Burke is clearly troubled with the damage that overt liberalism has wrought but he is not so troubled as to put any condemnations into actions.

He talks a "conservative" game but that really is it.  Of course, in today's Modernist society, talk is all that really seems to matter to people; so Burke is "thought of" as someone who is pretty darn traditional.  There's an old saying, "Talk is cheap."  And so it is.

What troubles me more than anything is the way self-styled traditional Catholics defend him.  Many of his actions are very liberal while many of his actions are very conservative and even traditional.  This is the essence of Modernism and traditional Catholics should recoil from anyone who can play both games with such skill and cunning.

Sounds like my "traditional" diocesan priest.  During his homily at the last TLM of his that I attended, he mentioned "Protestant thinking" alongside Catholic (I can't remember the topic though, sorry).  He did not make it clear that such thinking was heretical.  I expect this kind of crap at the NO, not at a TLM.  It certainly didn't help the positive doubt I have about his ordination.

Yeah, his primary "bible" is also the NAB (maybe revised edition), too, if I'm not mistaken. I think it was Burke in an interview with the professional "Catholic" radio station, EWTN, who said it was his favorite "bible".
