That's not true. Apocalypto (two years after Passion) made $120 million on a $40 million budget; I'd call that "successful." True, it is no where near the amount of money made by Passion, but an $80 million profit can hardly be called unsuccessful.

I feel sad for Mel Gibson. I think my priest might say "Here's a man to whom God gave great gifts and he is throwing them away and spitting in Our Lord's Beautiful Face." And that is how I feel.

Hollywood is a cesspool of iniquity. I am not sure that even the most pious Catholic could continue to live and work their and completely avoid this temptation. I couldn't. I would have to take my money and talents and move away. What's the nuns name who was in all those movies with Elvis Presley? Like her. Just leave the temptation and the life and go serve Christ.

Mel has been taken in by the devil, in many forms, and he needs our prayers.

Her name was (and is) Delores Hart. Interestingly, I just saw her interviewed on EWTN. She said that if VatII had not happened, she would never have become a nun. :stare:
