She's not a lady either.  But a spoiled little girl.

It shows that we all have consciences.  She knows its wrong.  She, like us, will have to answer.

In the end we can blame it all on the Novus Ordo, which is the real reason everything is wrong today.

She's just a by product of it all.

Good point.  At least we had a sure moral compass up until 1958.  There was a place where people could look for truth whether they wanted it or not.  There was a sure guide.

What's the source for this?

No source that I know of.  He supposedly made the statement but I have not seen a source.  It fits.  Even Pius X knew the modernists were in the very veins of the Church.  Pius XII knew what was around him.  I believe he was killed to prevent him from revealing the third secret.  I believe the same thing happened to Sister Lucy.

Leaving aside all consideration of the fact that some of the people responsible for the deluge (Annibale Bugnini, Ferdinando Antonelli, Giovanni Montini, Angelo Roncalli, et al.), Pope Pius XII did try to hold back a good deal of the deluge, especially in Mystici Corporis and Humani Generis, which was aimed at the "new theologians" of whom seminarian Joseph Ratzinger had become enamored, even as liturgical revolutionaries began their incremental assault on the Mass of the Roman Rite. Pope Pius XII's sterling defense of the persecuted Catholics of Red China and the direct criticism, which for him was most blunt, of the CPCA stands in stark contrast to conciliarist belief that almost all "differences" can be finessed away, especially when one states positivistically that "thing" are "better" now than they have been in the past.

If this is an accurate quote, I don't detect any hint of "guilt".  It sounds more like a boast.
