Here is a good laugh (or groan) . I found a poster size copy ot the ten commandments in about 5 minutes after I made the last post. Different 10 Commandments . (posted in a bookstore window)

8. Thou shalt not deny thyself a treat or two now and then.
9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's plate.
10. Thou shalt not eat out of misery, boredom, anxiety ... but should they over-indulge, forgive thyself immediately. All Is Forgiven, Move On!

Outrage in Chile at busty Virgin Mary models

SANTIAGO (Reuters) - A prominent fashion designer has sparked outrage in Chile by dressing up models like the Virgin Mary -- in some cases with ample, near-naked breasts.

The Roman Catholic Church condemned Ricardo Oyarzun's plans for a show featuring the models, and a conservative group tried unsuccessfully to block it in court.

Oyarzun said he had received telephone threats and had excrement smeared on his doorstep.

"There is no pornography here, there's no sex, there are no virgins menstruating or feeling each other up," Oyarzun said ahead of the catwalk show set to be held at a Santiago nightclub later on Thursday. "This is artistic expression."

He said his designs -- which include halos, look as though they come from a nativity scene and include religious icons -- were inspired by the Virgin Mary but not intended to represent her.

"We look on with special pain and deplore those acts which seek to tarnish manifestations of sincere love toward the Virgin Mary, which end up striking at the dignity of womankind by presenting her as an object of consumption," Chile's Episcopal Conference, which includes Catholic bishops, said in a statement.

The show is more evidence that Chile, heavily influenced by the church for decades, is shaking off its reputation as one of the most socially conservative countries in Latin America.

"May God Console you" seems like a cop out to me. I just wish we as Catholics had a little more of the common sense God instilled in the Jєωιѕн people for six thousand years.

First of all, we have the majority of popes and bishops who trashed the idea of teaching the Gospel, and instead fed us Vatican Council and other worldly opinion. Here in America for the last 100 years, you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than for the Catholic Clergy going out and preaching the gospel.

The press secretary of the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm, Sweden, has issued a statement in anticipation of a Swedish television report concerning the Society of Saint Pius X (to be broadcast on 21/01/09).

The diocesan release pretends to deal with different issues surrounding the Society and concludes with the paragraph: 'We would like to make clear the differences between them (SSPX) and the Catholic Church. We completely distance ourselves from all forms of racism and anti-Semitism. The Catholic Church in Sweden has nothing to do with the "Crusade" for making Sweden Catholic again, as reported by the programme, and does not support it in any way.

It's time to smoke out these antichrist bishops. They refuse the direct commands of Jesus Christ to teach all nations. Tell the public that there still are Christians who would like to preach the Gospel but during this great apostasy, very few hold positions of power in the Catholic Church.
