I appreciate you posting this. When I first heard this case several years ago, I had my doubts that the whole story was public, just from what was preserved by the New York Times and What Catholics Believe program. Having seen this now, it's apparent that the SSPV were in the right and that Mrs. Greve is wearing the pants in her family. Her comments about Canon Law and the Daughters of Mary being not approved by Rome makes you wonder why she ever thought it acceptable to attend an SSPV church in the first place. This whole case reads to me as a microcosm of traditional Catholicism, with the then-still-uncertain divide between sedevacantists (of which I am one) and the recognize-and-resisters.

Yes, the young lady was in the convent of her own free will.

Just imagine that you decided of your own free will to become a sedevacantist, or SSPX, or even FSSP ... and your family were dead set against it, and so declared it a cult, even though you had made the decision freely, and they come and kidnap you, subjecting you to deprogramming, which was in this case actually programming, where by deprogramming you're programming the person to believe that she had been programmed in the first place.  Now, one could make the claim that SSPV have some cult-LIKE tendencies, in imposing some of their opinions on people under pain of excommuncation (being refused the Sacraments), but they're not a cult who program people into sedevacantism.  To this day they have no problem with the faithful at their chapels to also assis at SSPX "una cuм" Masses.

Phil Donahue was a disgusting race-traitor, and he's now suffering the torments of hell beside the jews for whom he worked for so many decades.

Hmmmm…every now and then, more light is cast upon why I’m unwelcome in certain places among certain people. It’s the result of a 40+ years old dispute. At the time of my conversion, the original upheaval was already 25 years in the past. Nonetheless, God sent me to the “wrong people” or He sent them to me. More than half of them have gone to their particular judgments.
It has/had NOTHING to do with me, then or now!
Fellow Catholics, it’s time to bury the hatchet!
